Brilliant Hostel, very laid back. Great kitchen and common area. Very close to Mount Fuji, but not on an JR Line stop - additional railway tickets must be purchased (1300 Yen each way). But if you're a bit worn out from travelling through Japan this very laid back hostel makes a great stopover.

This hostel is so far away from station but very near to the lake. Looking for this hostel is a painful memory. This one is clean and more helpful staffs than the other branches elsewhere. I suggest you buy the bus full day ticket so you will not need to walk and waste time.

a very nice and welcoming hostel, the pick up and drop off service is ideal and the onsen around the corner is great after long days walking. a tad quiet at times and not much to do at night but all in all a great place to relax. K's house's are great value for money.

This was my first experience in a hostel. I was very pleasantly suprized. If all hostels are like K's House I think I would always stay at hostels. I hope I have not been spoiled but from what I have heard, think I have been. This was a great and fun place to stay. The Onsan next door was awesome...

Every K-house is very clean and this one has a good pick-up service. Also the availability of bikes is really nice and the for this price it is the best hostel in Fuji-town!

This is one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot of hostels! Sparklingly clean, views of Mount Fuji and close to all of the things that the lakes and surrounding area have to offer.

Great hostel, stayed 3 nights. Everything clean, never waited for the showers. Big kitchen and common area. TV room needs a couple of new dvds, matrasses are thin (japanese style) but those are just minor things.

The Japanese traditional style rooms are delightful, if you don't have any problems with you back. The hot springs next door are worth a visit and quite enjoyable once you get used to being nekked! Great place to stay if the weather's good! Otherwise, don't expect to be able to see Mount Fuji, visit Fuji-Q theme park or, if it's raining, do much else.close

It is very clean and spacious. A large kitchen and dining area and also a living area with sofas and a tatami mat area. There are four computers to share between all of the guests and only wireless on the bottom floor. The hostel is a few minutes walk away from convenience stores and the staff will pick you up or drop you at Kawaguchi-ko station, though that is not too far a walk either. The hostel is right by Kawaguchi lake, from which you can see Mount Fuji (if weather permits), and a very lovely onsen. The hostel has vouchers for money off a visit to the onsen and for other sights in the area. I stayed in a dorm room which was pleasant enough. There are no curtains around the beds is my only gripe about this place. The showers are clean and there is a coin laundry on sight. The place gets very quiet in the evening.close

Really friendly and helpful staff. Hotel got great character different from typical chained guesthouse. Location is superb - easy to spot Geisha and close to temples and shrines on hills where you can get lovely view of Kyoto. Would come back if had a chance for sure :)

Much nicer and bigger than the K's house in Tokyo. Great facility ... I imagine this will probably be one of the best hostels we stay in during our 7 months of backpacking. Nice comfy duvets :)

This was the best hostel we've been to during our stay in Japan. The rooms are spacious, as well as the kitchen and other common areas. The hostel was also very clean. The staff were very helpful and went to extra lengths to make our stay more enjoyable.

Amazingly clean and new. We stayed in a twin room and it was fantastic. We have lived in 'Asia' for 3 years now and it's one of the best places we've stayed in (considering it's in Japan!). Good restaurants are limited tho! do your research. I'd hike or rent a bike, the best things to do.
