The room was pretty Spartan, but it was clean and had a great shower. The free parking was a plus. Danny at the front desk was super helpful and very friendly.close

Apart from a room with space, a comfy bed and a hot shower this place has nothing of the things I've come to expect at hostels. It is an old fashioned school dorm.

Not exactly what I was expecting, pistures on the website are very deceiving. The noise levels were somewhat unacceptable and the place seemed to need a facelift. I've stayed in many hostels and this one was by far the worst.

This is an old scholl building turned into a hostal, not a bad idea. Don't expect lots of luxuries for the price. Excellent room size and clean. The best part of all is the free parking lot, considering it is located in a residential parking only area.

In my opinion, this hostel was underated, there should be a rating for "Sleep" cause I was only looking for a place to crash while in enjoyed the city, and this place was it.close

It is simply a place to come back for the night and nothing more. The free parking lot was helpful and the location was superb (blocks from the Laurier metro station) in the heart of the Plateau, but other than that don't expect much from Vacances. The staff was very affable and ready to answer any questions, but the building itself leaves a lot to be desired. It used to be part of a primary school (which is still active next door) and the shower was terrible, but at least it was ensuite. It just looked really scary at first glance, but there are lockers inside the rooms and it is around the corner from a police station. I recommend this place if you are with sharing with friends and in Montréal to enjoy the city and not spend all day in a room! oh and no WiFi! If you need it, there is a cafe on the corner with free wifi.close

What do you expected for this price ? In a quality/price ratio point of view it is a good place. Adviced for young people groups that does not need high confort. Nicely located place.

We had a great time in Montreal. The Hostel was pretty close to all kinds of bars, restaurants, and shops. The bus stop is 5 min. walk. The lady at front desk was very kind and helpfull.

Ugly and dirty, this facility should be torn down rather than rented out to unsuspecting travellers. The Location is right in the Ghetto, at least next to a police station. Can you check if someone has used tricks to get up the ratings? It's strange how such a place could get 75% on your website.

I arrived at the address only to find no sign, no obvious entrance, just a bunch of dark houses and a building that looked like a school... Does not seem like a Hostel! I ended up getting a taxi to a seperate hostel and stayed there instead.

this place is ok if your travlling in a group as it is a bit far away from downtown. if you want to stay around the latin quarter this place is ideal as you have both st denis and st laurent at yuor disposal. it doesnt have a kitchen but you do have all the restaurants and bars close at hand.
