I stayed for 4 nights. 1. It is too cold in the hostel. Every night I was freezing and could not sleep well. And the blanket is definitely not enough. (it is merely a towel as I regarded, though I had already put at least 4 blankets on me it was still not enough) I am wondering did the heater... more I stayed for 4 nights. 1. Air matress :( makes too much noise.. Little bit dirty.. but the building and the location is nice. If you decide to use the second-floor bed in Le Sous-bois, you did a big mistake..

Really good hostel in a beautiful part of town with free laundry and internet. The only major drawback is the beds. They actually use air mattresses instead of real ones which are very uncomfortable and noisy so I never actually slept through the night. Oh, well.

I was very dissatisfied with this hostel. Late check-in (6pm). Extra Taxes. Extremely noisy. Low security. I would not stay at le sous-bois again..nor would i recommend it. There are many better hostels worth your time and money.

This was a great hostel and I'll definitely go back. The beds were a bit loud cause they were air mattresses and some guys came in late at night drunk and loud, but I was able to sleep very well. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic hostel - had a blast! Staff were friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty!! :P Fun, fantastic atmosphere, will definately stay here again! Love the communal instruments and games!

My only complaint would be that the air mattress beds make some noises when you move in your sleep, other than that all was well...I plan on returning again soon!

The showers were way too hot, which is better I guess than being way too cold. Breakfast was NOT included, despite the website's claims. Very good location.No different rooms,everybody sleeping in the same area(for me,that was nice:)).Not too noisy.No lockers.Wifi available:)Nice people and VERY NICE STAFF!!:) thank u for everything!

I have been to many hostels and this is definitely one of, if not the best hostel i have ever stayed at! Not the best if you want a lot of good sleep but you will never forget your awesome stay here!!!

Dislike the bed, it is not the normal type of mattress but those pump-in air type which gives squeaky noise even with the slightest twist and turn. No blanket too(i should have request). the wood plank partition is too thin, u can hear someone just beside u...

Pretty cool hostel. Very alternative with the gypsy cabin things. Kitchen, internet and great atmosphere. Unfortunately had a pair of shoes stolen, but that was more to do with the guests rather than the hostel itself.

This was an awesome hostel! The set up feels like living in a tree house! It`s fantastic for the social aspect of hostel living - close to restaurants, pubs etc. Free washing and internet was a bonus, especially considering how cheap the accomodation was. Really friendly staff, great location in Old Montreal, nice open space. Quite noisy as sleeping area is very open, although people stuck to the quiet hours.Very squeaky inflatable beds!, but comfy!

No hot water. Lighting is insufficient through much of dorm. Funny smell in basement. Double beds in mixed dorm (unclear from website). All beds in one large room.

Great hostel!! Average for the Cleanliness because there is no way you can avoid to clean the showers and toilets once a day. There is always room for improvements....so far, well done guys!

For the price, it was fantastic. Sometimes the staff was unpleasant, but they could be easily avoided. The fellow hostel-stayers were really great company and I would come back just for that.

big hostel, not for claustrophobic people, but lots of possibilities to meet people; located in the middle of the old town, nice, but very touristic; only few lockers (first comes ...), staff nice but sometimes hard to find; look for toilet paper on time!

WOW!! So much fun! You have to stay there! The best Hostel ever but if I was you I wouldn't use the cabines (even if I was on a dorme) because it's kind of noisy outside. I would definitly go back there alone or with friends!

Great good fun!!!! Met some of the best people in the world ever, staff was very laid back, definitely great for the sociable that actually want to meet people from around the globe. In a matter of 2 hours, I had 15 friends......:-)

This place was potentially the dirtiest hostel we have ever stayed in. There was never any toilet paper, there was always a layer of water in the toilets and they smelt disgusting. We have had better showers in 3rd world countries. Believe us when we say DO NOT stay here. This place should be...
