Just needed a place to crash for one night, so didn't really get a big "hostel" experience. But staff was GREAT about helping me find something to do on a cold Sunday night in off-season. People were friendly, good locale, pretty average hostel!

This hostel was wonderful! It was in an amazing location and it was clean and bright. The staff was amazingly helpful and didn't mind all the questions we asked. Parking was difficult but it's a city. Would love to stay here again!

very nice staff and inviting common room. unfortunately our room was located in the basement with a very small window and a super tiny bathroom.

Not far from most things. Clean. Beds a little rickety though. Would return.

Has an 11pm curfew and you can't hang out in the lobby after that. Kinda lame for meeting people. But it is lovely looking. A little warm when I was there, but I doubt that is usually a problem. breakfast is toast and jelly, but what do you expect?

All the staff (but one) were consistently friendly, knowledgeable and really flexible. They put up with us changing our booking around without any issues. We stayed in two different private rooms both of which were very clean, spacious and nicely laid out. There was a laptop stolen during our stay but apparently it had been left unprotected in a dorm, rather than in the safes provided. The reception is not really open 24 hours so let them know if you're arriving after 11.close

Great location. Breakfast is just toast, jam, cream cheese and peanut butter, orange slices, coffee and tea. No ladders to get up to the top bunk.

I would like a better breakfast choice, like cereal, milk, juice instead of just bread and a coffee. A real toaster would be appreciated...

We stayed for three nights, and though I'd already been to the city a few times before, staying here made me wish I never had to leave! I recommend it highly - great place.

Great little hostel, although it was surprisingly empty while I was there. Friendly staff, hot showers, nice breakfast and such a good location for the jazz fest. My only complaint would be that the internet is a little pricey. Otherwise, Merci! I had a lovely time.

I stayed there 2 years ago! I remember there is a long and steep stairs so be prepared if you have a big luggage! Breakfast offered and that was a nice time to meet people. The room was clean and sunny.

A few blocks away from St. Catherine's St. which was where the nightlife was. Friendly staff, they accept both CAD & USD as currency. The ensuite was nice. Plenty of space, nice shower, small toilet room, large bunk bed, etc. Great deal for the price.

The place was to cold and the window in which our beds were under let in cold air, we had the extra blankets in our room up against the window to try and stop the draft. It also took running the basin tap or shower tap 15 minutes on hot for the water to get hot. what a waste of water
