Heat wave in Montréal and the hostel was unbearably HOT! Impossible to get relief from the sweltering heat. But otherwise a cute hostel in old house with lots of character in the very centre of old Montréal.

Positives: excellent location, free basic breakfast. Negatives: Very uncomfortable sleeping space, So tight, I felt like my face was touching the ceiling and worried that I would hit the wood upon waking up. Very cramped overall. And although the curtains which they use to create privacy... more

Great location in the heart of Vieux Montreal. No staff after office hours and the air mattresses may be too squeaky for some. Otherwise, a pretty decent place.

Aesthetically wonderful, cool set-up, beautiful location. I had some great conversations there too, on the beautiful winding staircase overlooking the courtyard. It's in Old Montreal, which is amazing, though a little bit of a walk from the downtown area. Also the bunkbeds are in very close... more

The hostel is very hot, with limited ventilation. The upper floor is very crowded with little room for individuals to have their bags by their beds. I had some concerns for fire hazard and evacuation, particularly if the hostel were operating in full capacity. I believe there should be fewer beds...

Air mattresses are very unnecessary. Real mattresses in all the beds, not just the private ones would be beneficial. And a bit more of a variety for the breakfast would be nice, but a luxury regardless. Otherwise, a great first hostel experience.

Great place, would definatelly stay there again. Only problem is the use of air mattresses, and the noise they make on the metal bunk bed frames. Personally, I slept fine, but it could be a problem for a really light sleeper.

Very noisy at night and 'air conditioning' was a fan, but this place has lots of character. The dorm upstairs resembles a field hospital. This place is pretty no-frills but we enjoyed ourselves and it is right in the middle of the touristy district.

Really loved this hostel. Even the 20 bed dorm (which sounds daunting) was really well done with some privacy due to curtains put up around beds. Blowup mattresses were a bit noisy, but surprisingly comfortable.
