Very good location, but that is about all this place has going for it. The hotel side looks nice, but the hostel is cramped and noisy. The gentleman at the desk laughed at me when I asked if breakfast was included.

I was a bit concerned that the outside door to the hostel was left open a few times, but this was due to careless travelers. Staff was very helpful!

We had no information given to us on arrival. The hostel room's carpet floor was wet through and hence the entire hostel smelled really bad.

the stove is broken and the microwave doesnt heat. we had a great group staying here at the same time so thats what made it fun. a bit dirty and my sister had to sleep on a sofa, even though we paid full price.

I have stayed here last year and was very surprised to see the renovations that were done. The kitchen is brand-spankin new with stainless steel appliance. Very hot! The common room was also redone in typical ikea style which looks really nice and they made a sick bathroom in the girls dorm....

It was decent for what i was looking for! Sadly the hang out room is not that great and big. I only met people there on my last day because it was snowing so hard and nobody wanted to go out! It was good enough but if you are travelling alone i wouldn't go there!!

It's not so clean and the rooms are really small. If you just need a bed to sleep paying a very low price It's ok.

Staff Hotel de Paris were very unfriendly, maybe it's cause I don't speak french. They didn't offer information at all, you have to really draw it out of them. And they don['t say more than hello, but you have to greet them first. The guy that serves breakfast even lied and said that he owns the hotel! Breakfast is a single croissant or a single muffin with coffee or tea or juice. And nothing else. Location is poor, not close to much except St Denis. NO, I do not recommend anyone stay there again. Will make it public on facebook!!close

I stayed at this hostel strictly for the price so I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised that the place was in good condition, offered free internet with clean warm rooms. A special thanks to the front desk guys for answering my million and one questions!

The hostel had everything I needed for my short stay in Montreal. It could have been more fun if there were more people staying in the hostel with me but I think the cold weather scares people off. Overall though, the place was great!

I had a good time at this hostel. There were not too many people while I was there so I had a lot of room to myself. The staff was very friendly and recommended some good places to visit. Weather was cold but I still had a good time. I would love to visit Montreal in the summer.

I stayed here in February for one night. The building is very european and almost looks like a small castle. The rooms were small but I didn`t spend much time there. The hostel is close to many attractions and the staff was helpful in suggesting areas to visit. Overall it was a good experience.

I did not expect to pay extra for the sheets, was only 3 dollas more, and also i had to give a deposit for 20 dollas for the key, so if someone came with the exactly money can be a problem. But the cool that i did not expect is that they have a ktchen where the food there is free, in fact they have ingredients to fix a pancakes for breackfast (the breakfast is not include, but you can prepare pancakes if you have time).close

On the plus it was fun, good location, only a few blocks from all the bars and clubs and shops you could want, cheap, and didnt have to wait for bathrooms. Down sides were that the beds squeeked and there were a lot of people so its hard to sleep in in the morning as everyone is waking up and packing or talking. people smoked in the kitchens a lot. theres a tv there too. no soap in bathrooms. the place was totally trashed by the time we left because noone really cleaned up after themselves but oh well. every time you open the lockers you have to pay another dollar so keep that in mind, we ended up just locking our stuff in the car to avoid the cost, and i heard one girl had her wallet stolen during our stay but i fell asleep with my purse at the foot of my bed and all my stuff survived the night. all in all we had a good experience. oh yeah and they dont provide sheets or blankets but they do have pillows with cases.close

Washrooms smelled (for days), were dirty and had no real facilties other than the basic. Staff weren't very friendly. Must pay 20 deposit for each set of keys regardless of people in the group; beddings not included. Theft is common. Good location though. Very personal environment.
