WOW! What a city... unless you are NOT a fan of great weather, beautiful beaches, amazing food, varied culture and in general, all things beautiful, you will love Miami. I came to Miami because it was on this year's Top "it" sports according to Conde Naste and I couldn't agree more. Miami is constantly re-inventing itself, and since the last time I was here, it amazing how much it has changed, while still maintaining that Miami Heat. The everglades are one of the top 10 natural wonders of the world, Art Basel is the single biggest art festival in the WORLD, the newly developed Design District is the only place in America where furniture as art is exhibited in the open, and if you love Food, well so of the best food festivals in the world happen right in South Beach. Check out Fratelli La Buffala, right from Naples, Italy, these four brothers serve up the best Pizza this side of the Atlantic. China Grill is a Miami classis, the Big Pink, Tapas Y Tinto, The Blue Door, Nemo, Prime 112, Joe's Stonecrab, etc., combine for an amzing variety in food and at a variety of budgets. Are you into Greek food or culture, then Taverna OPA is a must... that is unless you don't like dancing on tables, eating amazing Greek food and breaking plates! Yup, they break plates there and screem out Opa! Check out Little Havana, little Haiti... and dont forget Coral Gables for that old colonial architecture and gourmet restaurants. The truth is, I could go on forever, but this time I was here for just a week and a week is hardly enough. Try coming here between Feb-May and then again in the summer... people don't realize that during low season (which is summer), you find the best deals on everything. You can even walk into Prada and as for a discount and you will get it! It's just like Will Smith said in his song, "There is no place in the world like Miami."

Worst hostel in the world & I`ve been to 3rd world countries!! Bed bugs & ghetto conditions. Will consult with my lawyer when I return home. Can keep on going with the complaints... bottom line it should be condemned & burned!!!

South Beach is known for beaches and nightlife. Nightlife can be expensive so try to budget by spending less during the day. Down a few beers/shots before going out because $10 beers and $15 cocktails are normal. Everything is overpriced near the beach, walk a few blocks away from the beach and prices will drop. The Miami residents can seem a little stuck-up (they are), but there are plenty of tourists around who are actually fun to hang out with. Just enjoy the beaches during the day and party all night. You can't go wrong with that.

Good place to go, but not much sightseeing to be done. If you like partying, eating out, shopping and spending lazy days on the beach, then this is the place for you! They do it in style here!!

I went alone which kida sucked because If I had some friends with me I would have felt comfortable to go out and party. There are heaps of ferals in Miami, so watch out girls! Apparently guys have to pay heaps to get into the clubs where as girls are free!

Better like to walk... Automatic tipping at restaurants makes wait staff extremely lazy, incompetent, and obtuse. We could have walked away without paying at least twice, after very poor service in both instances (once at Paradise Islands, once at Oh Mexico outside the Clay Hotel). For low budget meals, recommend Puerto Sagua (7th & Collins) and the deli at the market on Washington between 14th & 15th. There are also several low budget souvenir places in that area. Bottled water is high ($5 for 2L bottle).

Miami is great, but for partying you have to have a lot of money (entrance fee for clubs between 10-20 dollars drinks about 10 dollars) but anyways Miami is great to relax on the beach! no student discount at the busses!

Miami is a fantasitic city if you enjoy the beach, shopping, and nightlife. It can get pricey, but if you plan your trip well you can scrimp on some aspects and splurge on others like going out at night considering cover can cost upwards to 30 dollars. Overall it's one of the best places to go if you like warm weather and fun.

If you are an inquisitive, fun, young person who likes to have a good time, then Miami is absolutely perfect. Yes, it does have a hard-partying image, and that can ring true IF YOU WANT IT TO. During March especially (but during the whole of the window between Christmas and April) there are many parties, and many virbrant nights out to be had in the city's clubs and hotel bars. If however, you are a little more sedate, and are interested in local culture, then there is also plenty for you to do here. The public art and architecture is fantastic, the museums are classy, shopping is superb and away from Souith Beach, there are numerous ethnic enclaves and diverting daytrips to take your fancy. Get a good guide book and work out exactly what you want to do whilst here. Miami has something for everyone.

Not the partying type but could tell this is a partying capital. Easy to get anywhere on foot or by bus/train. Diverse crowd from anywhere you could name. I heard a lot of French being spoken. Interesting. Nice people of all ages. Just a fun, relaxing place to hang out. The nice hotels are very, very expensive! I got a nice room at The Clay Hotel -- but if you want to stay at the Clay, book early, early, early.

- do the celebreties' homes Biscayne Boat tour - Miami downtown and Little Havana and Coco Walk nothing going on; don't go there - if you do an Everglades tour, make sure it is long enough (not only 20 minutes on an airboat and that was it); e.g. go to the Cypress park/ 10000 islands - if you want to go diving or snorkeling at all or with a boat transfer to a coral reef make sure it will actually take place - not like in my case as I drove 5 hours and then to be told it wouldn't take place; forget John Pennecamp Park - it's borin, small and when snokeling I could see a distance of 2 feet and saw exactly one fish - the Art Deco guided tour is a good thing unless you are a German - they make bad remarks about Germans even knowing that you are a German - watch out for receipts - there is no rule when the add tax to the price for the product or not, especially in restaurants they sometimes declare the 'without tip sum' as overall sum, somtimes the 'tip included' sum as overall; don't be trapped like me when giving a tip on a 'tip included' sum. - nobody knows about where to borrow surfboard and where there are bookshops, neither the receptionists nor the tourist information office people: a) 2nd Street right from Starbuck's Coffee, at the hotel entrance; b) Books and Books, Lincoln St. mall - bus drivers are not willing to let you on the bus if you have no small coins - get change directly at the airport first. - when travelling with the bus get a bus lines map first - the announcements of stations are rare and most of the times too late - if you take only one bus, you are to throw coins (1,50$ = 6 quarters) into a box and get no ticket if you want to change buses, you have pay the fare (6 quarters) plus transit fare (0,50$ = 2 quarters) in advance, get a blue ticket and give that to the driver of the second bus - finally SPRING BREAK (the reason I came there in the first place): there is no such thing as spring break whatsoever at Miami (Beach) despite loads of t-shirts where it's being displayed - no parties, no announcements in the period of time placed on the internet. => go to Daytona Beach, there is an organized beach festival with a fixed time and place

I loved Miami, its like a posher version of Ibiza, with all the beautiful people, fanastic clubs and chilling out on the beach. It is quite pricy though, expensive drinks in the clubs, and also get realllly dressed up if you want to fit in!

overall a city where you can do as much or as little as you wish. Not great for Veggies but cheap as city\'s in the usa go. Friendly people, good service mostly. Would\'nt use the Key West Express again as they failed to let us know they would\'nt be sailing that day untill we arrived at the port!! Very poor service, wasted money and time. Try to venture to the keys. Key west was amazing. Thank you to the guy at the Greyhound down town station in miami he was great. Bus transport isn\'t great but cheap.

I was in South Beach, and the weather was fantastic and so was the beach, but I didn\'t like the town much. I think most other people who are into clubbing and expensive shopping would like it very much though, so definitely don\'t let me stop you.

The whole team is really kind and more than Helpfull. The hospitality\'s warm as hell, especially on Sunday when you got those free pizza... The room are definitely not as in the Loews, south beach or any Hilton, but they are always clean and much cheaper... I will definitely come back and I recommand it to yall travelling to South Beach...
