Great hostel, staff very welcoming and friendly. Much better priced and cleaner than other hostels in South Beach. Also thanks for the cuban coffee, it's amazing!!

Excellent hostel. Good price. but some customer's behavior was terrible(had sex in the dorm in the early moring. It was very noisy)

GREAT staff-profesional and friendly!!! Safe and clean place! Exept 1 thing -Jessy , she was the soul of Jazz.. Now Jazz is only- clean, friendly and safe place without a soul.

great hostel, probaly the best ive been too. always a party going on, but also is quite in the rooms so u can sleep if u dont want to join in. staff was excellent very helpful and easy going. they let me have a free night cause i ate a worm. cant wait to go back!!!

the hostel has a good location and the rooms are decent. Big, clean and with own bathroom and sink in the room. However, the common area is really dingy which gives the place a bad atmosphere.

After visiting 38 countries backpacking and always residing at hostels, I am sadly to say that most of Jazz staff is the worst I have ever seen. 1. My pair of shoes and shorts were stolen. (This is the 1st time in all of my travels). The staff did not care. 2. I came to do a professional... more After visiting 38 countries backpacking and always residing at hostels, I am sadly to say that most of Jazz staff is the worst I have ever seen. 1. My pair of shoes and shorts were stolen. (This is the 1st time in all of my travels). The staff did not care. 2. I came to do a professional internship with a company in Miami and committed to a 6 weeks verbal contract with the hostel. I was to pay every Saturday and I would keep the bed. I had not paid attention, heard or remembered that check-out was at 11:00 AM and if late I was to pay $15.00 US penalty. I woke up at 11:30 AM to extend my stay for another week but I was told I was a LIAR by CEDRIC staff member for telling him I was not told or remember about the $15 US penalty. 3. We had no say so on what we could watch in the residents lounge television. Even if you ask really nicely, forget it. I was told by staff member that since I only paid $20 US a night I had no say. If I wanted to watch my own shows or soccer games I had to leave to Marriott Hotel and pay a $200 US room. She said "There you can do what ever you want". This happens when you let an ignorant and uneducated person to work in an international house. Do you really think that the owner of JAZZ bought the TV for the staff? 4. Most of the residents are international and do not like American football. Every Sunday we are forced to watch it by the staff. 4. We had no say into what we can listen as music. 5. At the beginning of my stay I heard and later confirmed that two staff members had been in prison in the past. I am not talking about 1 night in jail. People that had been in jail for months or years. How is this possible? What happens with the safety of the travelers? 6. By the way, while I was there the former prison inmate (staff member) had been fired for stealing a resident's digital camera. 7. The staff members need to stop being lazy and rude. Proper hostel staff members need to acknowledge, be helpful and greet residents all the time. 8. In a proper hostel, the staff members should be international travelers and be able to speak at least 2 languages. Most of the staff at Jazz in South Beach, are a bunch of ignorant and rude USA nationals that have nothing in common with the travelers. 9. In one of my last nights, another staff member argued about bed sheets with a resident inside a 12 bed room at 5 AM. Politely I asked the staff member to step out of the room because everyone was sleeping. Again, very rudely told me that I pay $20 US a night and do not have a say so. The staff member does note care about any the residents. 10. On the contrary I had a real good time with all of the international guests. It is a great hostel to me people but the staff needs to go. If Jazz corporate wouldg do something about the staff, the hostel would improve greatly in its reviews and would rapidly be better than Ohana, International, Lombardy, and Tropics.close

What is wrong with this staff??? I'm sorry for the rest of the staff who's very nice, but the management is really really poor!!! They had a bed bug problem, friends were telling them, showing them all the bites on the body, but they didn't want to believe them, almost call them liers, and my friend left for another hostel and they shut down the rooms to treat them!!! I could have had a really good time here like many others but because of some arogant managers my time was lousy!!!!!!!!!close

The hostel is not very strickt beds and lockers assignment-if you come last, you can end up without locker-some people take two. In our room the bathroom was separated but the sink wasn't in the bathroom, it was in the sleeping area.

Okay location, but a 10 blocks to best parts of South Beach. Staff were friendly, but they have their own "taxi driver" who charges through the nose for a ride to the airport (flag your own down). I doubt I'd stay there again, although the Russian girl at reception was hot :)close

This hostel was an awesome place to stay at. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming, and always have events planned to help make your stay a great one. A real social environment, and extremely close to the beach. Best place ive stayed in.

The staff were fantastic. This is probably the best hostel i'v been to! They plan great events, reasonably priced day trips and then really cool stuff like beach parties at night. This was by far the best hostel I have stayed in all summer and for such a reasonable price! The staff were extremely friendly and the social atmosphere was great! Shame I only spent two nights here, I could have stayed here all summer!!

Was a great loaction only a few streets from the beach. Some staff were really helpfull and accomodating others a bit over worked. lots happening if keen to party.
