I prefer not to share rooms with people who "live" in a hostel. They tend to think they own the place.

Sorry guys, this hostel is soulless and I found the staff to be extremely unhelpful. A Mexican airline lost my luggage for 8 days and they would not help me talk to the airlines (with my limited Spanish). I never had a hot shower in the 8 days I stayed and the noise in the building was excessive....

Excellent hostel right in the historic area, great dorms, breakfast cant be beat, free dinner is good value. Staff are helpful once the language barrier is overcome and will organize trips, the wrestling tour is a must.

It is definitely a party hostel, so if you want a decent night sleep, this is not the place. The music in the hostel bars don't stop playing til 1am. But if you want to meet lots of like minded young people and party all night long, then come along.

Thank you Tania and the rest of the HC staff! Pros: Central location, clean rooms & building, very safe, nice breakfast, roof terrace overlooking zocalo. Cons: Super loud(bring ear plugs), any of the tours need at least 5 people otherwise they are canceled. This was a huge inconvenience!... more

Although it´s a little loud when trying to get an early night, you must remember that this is very much a party hostel. You will always find fun things to do and great people to do it with. Liked the hostel, especially the terrace on the 5th floor overlooking the zocalo. The only problem was got woken up at 5.30am every morning by other roommates (which cant be helped). Suggest putting curtain over door to corridor. thanks!

This is a great hostel, it just wasn't really my kind of place... it's MASSIVE... too big for me. I preferred Hostel Amigo as it's smaller. Go to Cathedral if you're in a group and you'll have a blast.

Good if your looking for a party hostel. The building has an internal courtyard which means all the sound from bar (until 2am) flows right into your room. But if your planning on drinking until 2, then its prefect. And a great place to meet people.
