'The Casa del tio Dach' was built in 1890 in the historical area of mérida( four blocks to main zocalo) The house belonged to the Paz Ferraez brothers, among them was my grand mother Hernilda (Chachá) the only one who curiously got married. The Paz Ferraez family were dedicated to merchandise groceries for many years and in that time in Mérida had very few stores like theirs, the store was called 'El Negrito'. The hostal Bed & Breackfast count with 24 single beds in five rooms with their own bathroom. Please Note: THE SINGLE (SHARED BATHROOM) means it is a single bed in SHARED DORMITORY (shared bathroom) A few steps from Historic Center (Zócalo). It is surrounded by historic buildings, colonial houses, churches, souvenir stores, museums, convention center, bars and restaurants. If you have decided to visit Mérida 'La Casa del tio Dach' is your home. recepcion 24hrs

A great place to stay. The owner is so very welcoming and helpful. The casa is beautifully decorated, the room and bathroom were sparkling clean, the showers hot and big fluffy white towels to dry with. Fantastic value!

This is neither a hotel nor a hostel: It's simply a dream! A wonderful house with a good breakfast and one of the nicest and most welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Extremely recommendable!
