I felt safe and welcome everywhere I went. \"El Centro\" the historic downtown area is where most of the cool old buildings are and also a huge market place, \"Mercado Libertad\". The bus system was fantastic, you never have to wait more than a couple of minutes for your bus to come along and you can go pretty much anywhere. Tlaquepaque is a great side trip for checking out local arts and crafts. It\'s not far from the center of town. close

4 Star hotel at bargain prices. Great with transportation arrangements to airport and side trips. WONDERFUL!

Hostal d Maria 88%
It was great. Super-clean, tranquilo, and in a great location - a very cute and calm plaza close to the center of the city. The staff was super helpful in storing luggage, recommending places to go, and helping us with some confusion about reservations. Breakfast wasn't much if you can't do...

– posted on Nov 2008 1Hostelworld, you totally messed this one up. They'd taken the 4-bed dorm offline, but you allowed us to book 2 rooms in it. Luckily they had 2 beds in a 6-bed dorm, as all was sold out in Guadalajara. The staff were marvellous, great for info, and the hostel was spotless! Great place to go.

super fun place...met people from all over the world. great common area. very secure. good proxomity to the zocalo.

Casa Vilasanta 86%
Great hostel! Quietly located about 5-10min (walk) from the busy heart of the city, a square with a beautiful cathedral and a lovely restaurant around the block, save neighbourhood, friendly staff, clean, very beautiful interior with lots of common space (terras!)
