Overall, I would recommend stopping by here on your trip through Argentina.close

Great coffee places on the streets offering real coffe (no Nescafe!!) and freshly pressed orange juice, nice and friendly people, and a lot to see and know about wine. Great. Not too much to see in terms of old churches (luckily), but good for further activities like rafting, horseback riding and of course the famous winery tours... or just to hang out...close

It was an amazing weekend, lots of great food, especially meat - for less than the price of a Mcdonalds in Chile or England!!! Shopping was fantastic, even the nice small boutiquey shops were well within our tight budget, My wife got some fancy (paper??) highlights on her hair for about 70pesos which is 12uk pounds... such a bargain place to visit! We didnt get time to do any trips, but next time we are back in Mendoza we will be going to a wine bodega (warehouse) and seeing wehat else we can do. Most good hostels should have english and spanish literature availablew for you to pick fromclose

For an American, it was incredibly cheap. How can you not love all-you-can-eat beef for $7? You must go to Las Tinajas restaurant. It is also easy to get out of the city for outdoor adventure. My hostel offered day trips, and I went paragliding. This involved a crazy trip up the winding roads of one of the local mountains followed by a tranquil float over the city and all the area's mountain ranges. So beautiful and only $50! Viva Mendoza!close

We stayed in one of the apartments and it was fantastic. Nice to have our own space, kitchen, bedroom, etc. And had a great location.

Booked 3 nights, stayed for 8. Fantastic hostel, well run, very clean, secure, nice rooms, spacious and comfortable communal areas, great garden (hammocks and pool), and lovely dogs! But they should invest in steps for the bunk beds! It's the staff that make this the best (not 2nd) hostel in...

Really enjoyed this hostel. The location is just a few streets from the main plazas, and having a supermarket across the street is so handy. There´s a huge BBQ and garden to chill out in. The free internet rarely works and the kitchen is a bit on the small side, however the atmosphere in the...

A good hostel if you want a quiet stay. The staff were really helpful for organising tours. A couple of hammocks in the garden would be great.

The location of the hostel was good, but we were in one of the front facing rooms which had constant rod noise and it was difficult to sleep. We were told the room and bathroom would be cleaned daily but it wasn´t cleaned at all during our stay! Plus the safe in our room didn´t work, so we...

Well, when in rome....Bife de Chorizo and a bottle of Malbec, and all a bit average, but still beats anything at home on the steak front! Friendly staff though.

Top Rated Mendoza Attractions

  1. Wine Tour40%

When in Mendoza, you have to get out and try the wine. A bike tour is teh easy way, and I went through the HI organised tour at Campo Base (all the HI guys go together). It was 95 pesos, and for that you got the day tour. Your bike, some lunch, and 3 wineries and a choclate factory. All in all, we only got usually one or maybe 2 wines to try in each place,...
