2Really not much meaning to Chinese. 9Melakka seems to be usually about the first town people hit on their way up from Singapore. There is quite a bit of history of Dutch, Portugese and Brittish occupation in Melakka which is interesting if you're into that kind of thing otherwise Melakka is just like any other city. Plenty of places to eat, it's easy to get arround especially if you rent a bike, there are a couple of big shopping malls and markets around to visit.close

Number Twenty 88%
I only stayed for 1 night. If you can't stand loud kareoke singing and repetitive music from the markets below, consider staying elsewhere or don't forget to bring earplugs. Overall the place was great.

– posted on Dec 2008 1the place was tasteful. But the hosts were kinda rude and impatient with us. Toilets were not working well, wooden floors creaking, I could hear everything. Will stay somewhere else next time.

the room wasn't like its shown on the pictures. it was 4qm and nothing decorated at all..you also had to be so quite, because on top it was open and there were sleeping more people in "one" room. there were to window in the room and it was more like a small kammer.. but the staff was nice and the...

Ringos Foyer Guest House 85%
howard was fantastic for our entire stay, told us where the best food was, helped us go to wherever we wanted to go. we had a great 3 nights there and glad we booked there.

Fenix Inn 84%
this hostel wil charge u full amount if u dont cancel it 3 day ago ur arrival. they wil charge stright from ur credit card without any notice, even on the website condition is for 24 hours!! NOT BEFORE 3 DAYS!!!!! so if u r not sure u may change the hostel or booking, PLEASE NEVER BOOK THIS ONE....
