Didnt really like Marseille itself, it reminded me of Morocco and I didnt fdeel entirely safe the whole time I was there. Cassis only a 25 minute bus ride away has to be the highlight of the trip!!!

Marseille was pretty seedy, but there was a kind of raw beauty about the industrial fishing boats and working class atmosphere.

Vertigo is an incredible hostel/cheap hotel. Great location - really close to the station and walking distance form the Old Port. Staff are incredibly friendly, great beds, and great place to meet (and drink with) other travels. Awesome place!
