If you are spending some time in marrakech, I heartily recommend taking a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. Spectacular, real, beautiful - and a real insight into Berber living. Can be easily organised with a guide who will bring you. No. 1 on my list of things to do in Marrakech.

One of the least touristy things to do in Marrakech. But it was one of the favourite and most enjoyable things I did. We went to a big game - think it was the 60th anniversary of the club.
