We loved our stay here they did everything to be totally accomodating. Half the charm was trying to make it there on a daily basis through the souks. Its in the middle of the most culturally rich part of the media and the terrasse is a prime place to sit and listen to the call to prayer.

This is a beautiful Riad right in the heart of the Medina. The staff is extremely nice as they explained all the things to see while drinking some mint tea in the terrace. We even got the chance of going with one of them to a concert where he sang and introduced us to all his friends! Couldn't...

We stayed 5 nights at Riad Douzi and had a great time. The rooms and ensuites are clean and they even make the bed daily. It all is a little more faded than the pictures depict but perfectly adequate. Simple breakfasts with amazing orange juice on the terrace and mint tea on demand. The staff are...

Right in the medina, great spot, though impossible to find the first time! The breakfast was fantastic and the staff very nice. The room was comfortable and it was very quiet at night despite being right in the heart of the medina. Good value. Definitely recommend it.

Riad Douzi was the perfect base in which to explore Marrakech. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the roof terrace is a lovely setting for breakfast. Most of all we'd like to thank the staff for all their help during our stay - you really added to our Moroccan experience! Thanks again,...

Great place with friendly and helpful staff. Nice simple breakfast on the roof terrace and very good meals. When it's your first trip to Marrakech, using the pick up service might be helpful.

Right in the Medina, you couldn't ask for a better location. The French-Moroccan owner, Medi, has excellent local knowledge, and will give advice and insight. You can eat on the roof terrace at night, and the house chefs whip up a selection of traditional foods. This is accompanied by traditional live music, resulting in a relaxing, almost magical experience. There are fans but no A/C, of course a traveller's luxury so can't complain, but in the 50C+ heat it was a little warm on the first night or two. Don't let that put you off. Compared to the (dreadful) Hostel Essaouira (STAY AWAY!) where we stayed in the middle of our trip, coming back to Douzi was such a relief. Relaxed, friendly staff; fantastic location; beautiful classic riad premises with classic rooms; food and live music; plus they'll give you a key if you need to come home after hours. I'm not sure if I should rave any more - I'd like to come back and I don't want it fully booked! If you are lucky enough to stay here, you'll know what I mean. Enjoy! T.close

Just ask the nice people how to get there and don't be afraid to offer a couple durham to find the place (otherwise you really won't find it).close

The staff are all genuinely friendly and, although it's a bit of a cliche, it really did feel like we were staying at the home of old friends. The riad itself is beautiful, with gorgeous rooms and roof terrace, and is scrupulously clean. It's also only about a minute's walk from the heart of the souks, but at the same time manages to be very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was also the best we had during our time in morocco! Having a peaceful retreat from the madness of the souks really made our time in marrakech enjoyable-many thanks to Medy, Gilles, Abdul and Rachida!close
