This is a amazzing place for lovers, eat your breakfast at the terass and just chill...and if you want action just go outside, and you are in a hysteric market...

It was difficult to find, and a lot more than five minutes from Jemma El Fna, at least 15minutes walk. The location was very poor, as we did not feel safe walking to the Riad at night and needed to walk through the Souks, which were generally closed after 9pm and therefore, it was difficult to find our way out without a guide. There are very few places to eat around the Riad, so there is little choice but to go to the main square and return early if possible. The alley is very poorly lit, and we felt very wary when returning at night. There is little to no security in the Riad, as there are no doors to the rooms, meaning anyone can walk in and take things from your room. As a result of this we were forced to take valuables with us all day. The staff were helpful using mime, however, as they did not speak English, it was difficult to get any assistance as to coming through the Souk at night, and they did not arrange payment with us. I would not recommend staying there, as the location is so poor, and there is nothing much nearby.close

It is about a 10 minutes walk from the square and is extremely difficult to find in the dark. The directions we received from the owner were not very helpful and the Riad is not sign posted. We would not recommend it for single females travelling alone or without a male. The lady who runs the Riad for the owner had no record of our booking or confirmation of the deposit we had paid. They also do not provide you with any maps or local information about Marrakech. However this Riad is absolutely beautiful, has an amazing terrace and the rooms are well designed and luxurious. If you are keen to get out of the main area, are confident enough to stroll around the medina at night then it would be a great place to stay. It is very quiet. Being able to speak french is extremely helpful in order to communicate with the staff.close

The riad is very beautiful, but the location is not so good, so far from the jemaa el efnaa place, and nothing to do near. Besides, nobody of the satff speak english.

From the train or airport, you'll need a taxi to Ben Mousef. From there a few young children will lead you to the door...for a small donation (about a euro). It looks like you are entering a barn, but the doors open up to something you would see in a movie! It's a quick 10 minute walk through the souks to the square that is an adventure in itself! close

The hosts speak no English at all. The room was adequate but very basic. We were expecting something a little better. The shower worked most of the time but was not always hot. It is bizarre that anyone can go up to the roof and look down on you in the shower if they wish to! Bikes & computer access: both advertised as available. There are 5 bikes, none of which work, none have adequate brakes (or any brakes at all in some cases), some have no inner tubes, others had flat tyres. Gears are broken. A pump was provided with the wrong connector. Everything like this is met with a shug of the shoulders from the hosts. A 'What do you expect me to do about it?' attitude. The laptop does not connect to the Internet despite being plugged in to a modem. It's all in Italian and hard to understand. It failed to recognise my universal (photo) card reader and my memory stick so was as good as useless. We had a meal one night. It was very nice but we were disappointed with the price which we were presented with as we were leaving. More expensive than we would pay in UK and had we known we would have eaten elsewhere (Riad Omar for example provides a feast for much less than this in much better surroundings). There is no menu and no price list on display anywhere. When we paid for the room in Euros, as requested, our change (4 Euros) was not offered to us but just kept. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone to be honest.close

It is a beautiful and peaceful space, quiet and perfect for relaxing after a busy day in walking the streets of the old town. It is perfectly clean and stunning, with relaxing water features, white wash walls, big double beds and traditional lamp lighting. Breakfast is served on the terrace, where early in the morning you can see the Atlas mountains towering over the city. If you ask very nicely the wonderful chef will cook you a traditional Morroccan three course meal with wine, candle light and the sounds coming from the streets below.close

We loved our stay at Dar Assoura! It was our moment of peace and comfort away from the crazniness of the old town. Highly recommended. Tip: If you don't speak French then bring a phrase book.

Really nice place; very friendly staff; very clean place. The only problem is that it is located where all the locals live; it is hard to find and in kind of a shady area.
