Be on time for a table in this cosy place with a diverse audience. The starters and mains are absolutely great, but do save space for the desserts. We had coconut and curry mousse and white chocolate soup - completely divine and a perfect ending on a dinner. Staff is attentive and very friendly... more

Cool little cafe in the center of Madrid. Great coffee, natural juices, homemade soups, healthy salads, sandwiches and even baked Potatoes! In a nice relaxed friendly environment. You can also order to take away, which is quite a new thing in Madrid!

Sunday lunch place for friends and funky families. Bar like setting with old signs on the walls and wooden tables. Eat fried potatoes with your choice of meat, sea food or vegetables, have a glass of beer and top up with a toast. Relaxed and simple!

Great place to eat the beloved spanish jamon, bocadillos and callamares. They also have plates with pork or chicken. The staff is also very nice (even if you don't speak a word of Spanish) and all this for a cheap price.

Try the risotto with prawns, the hamburgers and the pintxo de solomillo which is to die for. The salads are also great for sharing. As its quite difficult to get a... more

Chocolateria San Gines is tucked away up a sidestreet but is surely one of Madrid's most popular cafe. There is only one thing to order when visiting this establishment and that is the chocolate con churros. Thick hot chooolate accompanied by strips of deep fried doughnuts. Dunk them into the hot... more

This is a lively tapas bar on the best street in Madrid (in my opinion). You can stand at the bar and have a drink or sit at a table and have some food. The tapas are delicious as is the vino. We had to wait a while for a table but it was worth it!
