This place was great; the staff was friendly, the other lodgers became fast friends. A very good hostel, in an excelent location. Argentine staff was very nice! and we share "mate". Un muy buen hostel en una excelente unicación. Los recepcionistas argentinos fueron muy copados y compartimos mates ;)

good place to chat to people and not too far from the city. staff are layed back and easy to talk to. only bad thing was the showers but even then they were usable and hot.

good english tv, free and net and breakie (though not much). bathrooms were really grimy and rooms small and a little under the weather. common room good for meeting people if you can see them through the clud of smoke

The location was great, in a beautiful area, near the metro, but the hostel itself was no as great. The whole place smelled like smoke and mildew. Even though there were no smoking signs everywhere, visitors and employees would be smoking all the time. Madrid also is not the most interesting city.

Room number one is not verz good at night given that it has a high window giving directly to the entrance/reception...thez could have put at least some king of curtain to cover the light.

The staff were extremely helpful and flexible. The location is excellent too, very easy to find from the metro station and surrounded by all the amenities.

Convenient location - close to metro stop and centre of town. Rooms very small but manageable if using hostel just as a place to sleep and staying out during the day. Bathrooms a bit nasty regarding cleanliness but manageable for 2 mornings. Staff very friendly and helpful.

They made a mistake, and didnt have a room for us when we arrived. But they were very helpful in finding us another equally comfortable place to stay closeby. So this is a review of Las Muses Hostal.

I find it poor that you didnt realize I didnt stay at your hotel, since the booking was done on the wrong day (instead 20 for 23) so I didnt have any space in your hotel. Please delete me from your list!!!

In terms of cleanliness: all that you really need to touch is clean. They organize outings to cool clubs, which is pretty tight. The people I might here were pretty tight, too.

the room was very small for 4 persons, 2 adults en 2 children. There was no fire escape or equipment avaleble! It was aloud to smoke insite !

The rooms are very very small, it has a room for 4 people with about 4 m2. The showers are very small too, is impossible to loock the door and it doesnt have a vestuary.

They arrange an outting every night. Very social, not noisy though if you need sleep. Amazing staff!

This was not a very good hostel. The rooms themselves are okay, but the showers were not very clean. The staff knew nothing about events that were posted at the hostel. It's also a long walk away from the most interesting parts of Madrid.

The showers were cold, the room was no bigger than a toilet with four people squeezed in and the place was like a sauna! No air con in any part of the building. It was cooler in the baking Madrid sun! This place is a DUMP!

Could you possibly improve the directions given on the website? I came to Madrid from Valencia without a map, it was a bit difficult finding the street. Getting off at Bilbao metro stop is a bit ambiguous.

Their smoking area is set just outside my room. I hated it at first, but when i realized that their major customers are spainish and smoking is their culture. I thought it is OK. The staff are so helpful.They provide all the information that you need. It surely help you save a lots of time.
