Breakfast was basic (corn flakes), but staff was friendly and spoke at least some English. Note there's a 15 euro deposit for your keys.

Fab location- everything is within walking distance! Only things that weren't up to scratch were the size of the toilet cubicles (stressfully small!) and the lacK of space for sitting for the free breaky!

A good, convenient choice in a central location. For the price, I would stay there again. One annoyance: Wifi is limited to the lobby and was very temperamental when I was there. Probably not be the best hostel to meet people, but the essential lodging purpose was fulfilled. Expect to pay a 15...

Bad: awful showers, see through curtains, no place to change clothes or hang towels, dirty floors. Only one (slow) computer for 200 guests. Kitchen is only open 1pm-10pm, breakfast is white bread. Good: location (near metro), plugs above bed.

the hotel is not very safe, cause when our friends were checking out, there were some theives wanted to steal the luggages. Finally we managed to drag our luggages back, but we're so scared.

I really liked this hostel. The wristwatch keys were a little strange at first, but once I got used to them they were great. Really good location and helpful staff.

Had a great time here, great size rooms, great location and the activities organised by the hostel - the tapas tour, city walk, flamenco and pub crawl where are a great way to see the city, meet other people and learn about Madrid. I dont normally do hostel organised activities but I liked these...

I only chose this hostel for its security (keycard, lockers) and location. It is definitely not a place to hang out and meet other travelers. Copped a bit of 'tude from one of the staff as well. The guide on the free tapas tour was good though.

It is a great hotel, dont get scared of the strange comments on the web. Only because its cheap it is very nice, clean. Its true though that you cannot open the window during the night because people are loud on the street.

The main problem with this place is the noise. You can hear everything. There is toilet water flowing in the walls when flushed and it sounds like an f-15 taking off.

Website needs to say that a 15 Euro deposit is required for the "key". I was leaving Europe the next day and did not have 15 extra Euros. very obligingly, the receptionist accepted a deposit of $30 instead.

Most of staff very helpful. Lockers in room worked only 50% of the time and you cant use your own lock. Lots of street noise at night but excellent location. Kitchen facilities not particularly clean - a few people got sick because noone cleans the dishes properly. But otherwise good fun....

Great hostel, my room was fantastic with a balcony over looking Huerta. The place was clean as far as I could see, but the best part of the whole experience was the people that came through and hung out in the very lively kitchen/ dining area. A great experience overall.

I've put security as excellent because it is like a prison with all the association of tagging, malice and threats. The magnetic keys can be unreliable since mine never opened the front door. The common areas are unpleasant. The number of showers are inadequate. The booking in took a very very very long time. In fact I wasted a whole morning and part of an afternoon doing it. However it is in a good location but avoid like the plague.close
