It was in a really good area in terms of how near it was to a metro stop, however.. the nightlife on the street where the hostel is is NUTS. absolutely annoying. didn't sleep a wink, the noise from the streets was abominable. great staff though! had some great convos. made up for the loud evenings.

Barbieri is a nice hostel with a fun athmosphere. You get information about the city, where you can eat cheap etc. You get a personal locker which is very good. The shower had only cold water, but we only stayed one day. Recommendable!

Everything else - cleanness (dirtynness :) ), some noise at night from street (the street looked like a hive, full of people) - can be forgotten if you are in good mood and look for convenient place to sleep. Would recommend for all age groups. One disappointing thing - owners expect extra money for everything, f.ex. for your baggage left for half day after check-out, it's unfair, unusual and unfriendly I suppose...close

Lizette was awesome, very helpful and professional. There was a really good vibe in the place. Extremely close to metro and easy to get into the centre (about a 5 min walk). It is in the heart of Gay clubs but I didn't find it a problem - no hassles.

Good location right next to the Metro. The first floor and outside are a little intimidating if you´re new to the area but once you´re in the actual hostel it´s very nice. Basic, but nice, and great for the price.

The storage room's cleanliness is no good. u can see the bed sheets are on the floor. but the staff is nice~ btw, i found that the hostel is located on the street with a lot of gay bars and shops. if u are straight and going to have fun nearby, u may have to choose other bars.

The toilets didn´t seem to flush properly, the walls were covered in graffiti and there was no real central or communal area. No one ever seemed sure of a congregation area and so it was difficult to meet people. The beds were often not changed after their occupier left. I noticed this because I was in my room for 6 nights. Sheets were left on for the next person to unknowingly sleep on. Somne staff members were helpful and friendly, however.close

The location is great - next to a metro stop, and right by city center. The staff is so kind and accommodating. There was some confusion about reservations and I so I slept in the common room one evening (the couches are really beds so it was all the same to me), but they reimbursed me for that night and Lysette gave me a bottle of wine for my "troubles". No troubles at all! I still had a bed and the staff even let me sleep late the next day. The staff was also helpful in arranging airport shuttle transportation and suggesting good restaurants, bars and clubs. I'd definitely go back.close
