Great location. Clean sheets and bathrooms. Small showers and can be loud at night (but that's what is expected being almost RIGHT in Sol). No complaints. Would DEFINITELY go back.

The hostel is right in the absolute center of Madrid - pub quarter downstairs, main square 50 meters along the road, main shopping area starts 250 m away. So it's noisy from outside. Inside there isn't much room - 3 showers, 4 toilets for about 20-30 people (a rough estimate). It works because... more

Good hostel in perfect area. You will definitely need to bring earplugs - sleeping was not possible earlier than 2am, but that is how they roll here in Spain. Washing is very cheap at 4 euro. Cleaning lady does a brilliant job!

Stayed for 5 nights in a dorm. Great location, just a few minutes walk from the main attractions. Very clean. Great helpful staff. Recommend using earplugs because the dorms overlook one of the busiest streets in Madrid.

this was a nice place to stay. it has a wonderful location, you can walk pretty much everywhere. there are a lot of fun people too, so it´s a good place to meet other travelers. it can get a bit loud though, since it´s small, so bring earplugs if you want to get to bed early.

The location can't be beat, and it was really affordable and clean. They don't have 24 hr. check in so that is a little bit frustrating, but other than that it was great!

I loved my stay, but if you want to sleep, you don't want to be anywhere near this area. The Madrilenos party hard, and since you have to keep the windows open for the heat, it gets very loud.

Nice location and enough of cleaness and facilities. The staff I speak to was like the travel agency woman in "little Britain" to me. Actually it's "he" and he didn't do anything wrong but speaks very flatly. So it's not fun for the travelers who are first visiting Spain.... more

Compared to the other hostels that I stayed at in other cities, this was definitely not the best. But at least it's better than already most of the other ones in Madrid. And they have free WIFI. So, it's not bad in my opinion.

Only complaints were the dingy smelling showers and the unfortunate late night sounds from the street. Invest in a good pair of earplugs and be ready to try to sleep through hours of drunken rowdiness (esp. weekends)!
