Situated on Grand Via, the location was very good. The room its self was nice and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpfull (also spoke enough English for us to get by!). Nice for couples and quite times but not for meeting other travellers.

Location is central, but if you are a light sleeper you may struggle as its on a main road. The guy who checked us in could only speak Spanish, but there is a lady there as well who does speak English. The accom is super clean & the beds really comfy.

Great location at a good price. Staff speaks little to no English. Good for couples who want some privacy.

Quite comfortable hotel-style place...very centrally located...not quiet (being on a main street), but if you want quiet, don´t go to Madrid. Very nice personnel.

Staff was responsive to questions (Spanish only, very limited English), and kept our luggage for free during the day after we checked out, but don´t expect them to offer up any information, you have to ask.close

For the low price it's really excellent!!! And it's close to the most important sights.close

Hostel manager (Maria) was cordial and helpful. There was a discrepancy of the amount due from the Hostelworld.com to the manager, this was unwelcomed. Considerable noise into the early morning (2:00+ a.m.) resulted in little sleep. Some cigarette smells.

a nice hostel although it is more a hotel. It is a good to sleep in on a great location in a nice old 'art nouveau' building, but nothing extra. Don't expect the staff to give you information about the city, since they hardly speak English. They are friendly and the hotel is clean.

the staff were really helpful, we were two girls but had to book a twin room as that was all they had left but when we got there they put a camp bed in our room so we could have single beds. great location and really clean!

Very nice hostel, better than many of "real hotels" that we have stayed. View was nice from room to Gran Via. Location is very good, good restaurants, bars and shops found near.

Everything about the hotel was great except for one major problem. La cucaracha, or cockroaches, in the room and an overwhelming smell of bugspray. If it wasn't for the bugs we'd highly recommend this hotel.

Simple. With a big smile answered "no" to all our requests. Moreover, asking us to pay in advance all the week, the day we came in. That's it, anyway the good point's that's dirt cheap for the location.
