This hotel is so nice felt like we were in a flash hotel for very cheap price. Such nice rooms and great shower over the bath, clean. The breakfast was five star hotel standard. treat yourself here and we got upgraded to room with a veiw of the lake and mountains 100%.Only one grumpy lady on...

Very highly recommended! Location is right in the middle of the old town, staff are very helpful, and rooms are spotless. Also, the breakfast is by far the best ive ever had in a hotel/hostel. We were also somehow upgraded from shared to private bathroom for free. Not exactly a big party place... more Very highly recommended! Definitely the best place I've stayed in... the rooms were nice and clean, it was nice for once to get a nice clean bathroom w/ shower in your room. Well, I had to ask twice for a pillow, but otherwise the location is great - right in the old town, easy walking distance to the train, very close to pedestrianized area. Just a block from the lion statue. The room wasn't spectacular, and the breakfast was just ok. I had dinner at the...

Room was good and internet access appreciated - but staff were less than helpful and grumpy and an added amount for taxes without warning was not welcome. Being pressured re time at breakfast was also unpleasant.

Hotel should consider coffee/tea making facilities. Do not understand 'RTW trip" but I atayed in the hotel with my family after travelling to London, Edinburgh and Geneva. Thank you. was delighted to be upgraded to Ambassdor hotel, but disaapointed of the poor noise issulation, noise level from traffic is unberable as compare to our last stop, Interlaken. otherwise everything was fine.

Fantastic cheap hotel in the heart of Lucerne. Only about 100m to the lake and right in the heart of town. Very clean rooms. Would definately stay here again.

This is a hotel. Not a hostel. Loved the location. The staff was very helpful and a great breakfast. A Good place for couples. IF you want to party..look elsewhere.

Longer availibiltiy with the internet computer. A small safe in each room would be nice. More selection for breakfast, like the typical swiss yougurt and musili with fruit. Everything else was very good!

This is extremely good value accommodation. Nice and close to some good shopping - food and otherwise. Short walk to the Lion monument and the Wall. Breakfast was great too - particularly good value as the food in Lucerne is quite expensive.

Hotel de la Paix was very nice overall. The location was great, very close to shops and the bridge, the room was simple but very clean with cable TV. The staff was very nice and the breakfast good, free internet too. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile (even when I dumped my broken suitcase on them to dispose of). The breakfasts were more than adequate. We enjoyed our stay very much, especially due to the "Cartoon Network" being available for us to watch after our days...

At 60Sfc per person, the hostel is over priced for what you get. The rooms are behind the main hotel in an ally, there's no view from the windows. We were so dissatified with over-priced and over-marketed Lucerne that we cut our stay short and high-tailed it back to Interlaken!

They tried to demote me to stay in room without bathroom eventhough I insist that I booked the privated room. Their excuse was computer error but because I had the print out of confirmation showed as double room, private. Then I was upgrade to stay at the Ambassador hotel which nearby De La Paix. The event lead me to the disappointed of the Euopiean attitude. What it would be if I didn't print out all the confirmation to prove. My coleague who booked this hotel faced the same situation as me and during she checked out the hotel. There was one foreigner who was agruing with the hotel on this matter. How was a bad hotel?close
