Casa do Loureiro

The 'Casa do Loureiro' is located in the magnificent landscapes on the Douro River valley, 50 km from the city of Oporto. Its fields exposed to the south, ensure good quality of its products: wine, oranges, olives, chestnuts and walnuts. Sculped granite walls and medieval roads delimit the property confinement the building. Its construction began on the early XVIII, improved by the end of that century. The annexes form part of a harmonious whole. The main works were inspired by the house style called Pombalina (architecture style developed as a result of the great earthquake of Lisbon, 1755). We have3 bedrooms (3 double with an extra bed in two of the bedrooms) and 3 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have bathroom or shower room ensuite, the third has to step outside and down a staircase for the shower room.
