   The Mann Chinese Theatre has the hand and foot prints of stars from yester-years to today in its courtyard. It also hosts the premiers for a lot of movies with stars rolling out in style outside. You can see when each hand or foot print was taken in the star's own handwriting.

   The Hollywood Sign is a historical landmark protected by the Los Angeles County. In earlier years people used to be able to walk up to the sign but after vandalism started, access to the sign was blocked. However, one can walk up pretty close to the sign for some great photographs.

   I really enjoyed Universal Studios; it is a fun day out for all ages! The studio tours were brilliant as it shows how many of the special affects on movies are done and I got to see loads of different sets including Wysteria lane on Desperate Housewives and the plane crash on War of the Worlds,... more I really enjoyed Universal Studios; it is a fun day out for all ages! The studio tours were brilliant as it shows how many of the special affects on movies are done and I got to see loads of different sets including Wysteria lane on Desperate Housewives and the plane crash on War of the Worlds, which was really cool to see!! There are loads of different rides to go on like Shrek, Terminator, Back to the Future etc. This is one of the best things about LA as the rest is a bit disappointing!!close

   Great museum with free tours by very knowledgeable staff and docents. Very clean. The architecture and gardens are fabulous and the paintings and sculpture were unbelievable. The audio cassettes are free if you want to go through on your own, but check the brochure for the days events and you can go free on tours of the gardens, the sculptures, and the high points of the collection.close

   Take a walk along Hollywood Boulvard and see all the famous stars! This is really cool as it starts to sink in that you are actually in Hollywood!! You can see the stars that are really polished - These are looked after by their fans!!!! There are also many tourist attractions along the strip including Ripley’s Believe it or not, Guinness World of Records, Hollywood Wax Museum. I would suggest giving these a miss. I went into each of them and one is as bad as the other. Really tacky and just a waste of money. A highlight is the world famous Chinese Theatre, also located on the strip. Among the theater's most famous traits are the autographed cement blocks that are in the forecourt, which have the signatures and markings of many of Hollywood's most famous stars!close

From the moment you enter the carpark until you sit into your car again its pure fantasy, a total escape from reality, complete with giant cartoon figures and upliftig music. The park itself is divided into a number of themed areas, each area has a variety of rides, some more suitable for small children and some for big kids. There are terrifying rollar coasters, water rides, giant swings, rides that shoot you up in the air or spin you round in circles. you can easily occupy the best part of a day in Disneyland and your entrance ticket covers everything except food, which means you do get quite good value for your money. Tickets are anything from 60-100 dollars for a day ticket and you can also get 3, 5 and 7 day tickets.close
