The decor is just like you would imagin, all heavy carpets, velvet curtains, and the clink of cutlery and cut glass crystal. The food was great! Big portions of course, but plenty of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, you name it. Some of the staff have possible been in the restaurant since it opened, and they have wonderful stories of LA back in the old days.... For me though the cocktail bar was the highlight of the night, superstrength cosmopolitans served with a flourish and the barman kept us entertained with stories of gangsters and showbiz stars..it was like being transported back 50 years...all we were missing were long fur coats and cigarette holders! This restaurant is a MUST GO...we had a wonderful night and it was definately one of the high points of the trip.close

   I had lunch there. The have great American food. I would recommend it highly. Their prices are very reasonable.
