The notting Hill Brasserie has been in my dreams for the last few weeks. The nicest meal I ever had, and am ever likely to have was enjoyed here, and I still dream about it. The lamb was splendidly presented. Cooked to mouth watering perfection and sheer perfection in it's quantity.
The staff were maybe not as attentive as they could have been, and as this restaurant's reputation deserves but that's just a minor black mark on an impeccible meal. |

Normally I would not splash out like this, but seing it was on the company I didn't really care.
The food was out of this world and the service impeccable.
I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough and if boo would allow me, I would give it 6 out of 5.
Beautiful food, attentive staff a pleasure (but at £330 for 2 courses and 2 bottles of wine so it should) |

This is the place to eat if you want to be seen. The kind of place you go to, not so much for the food, but moreso, just to say you have been there.
Personally i found it to be a basic Italian, with an astonishing over emphasis on disguising the lack of food with rocket.
I shall not return because I could make something as tasty at home in the microwave, will not be sitting uncomfortably like I don't belong and being charged a small fortune for the privilege. |

This theatrical themed restaurant is a sight to behold and if you can try and come here you must do so just for the experience.
The food is mainly Mediterranean style and a banquet, we couldn’t believe so many courses were included in the price. |

Good restaurant just less than a minute from Russell Square tube station. Italian Restaurant, but they don't serve pizza, but their pastas are very good. Sunday closed. Good value for money. |

Chinatown is a bit of a mishmash of asian cuisines and restaurants, but I really liked Mr Kongs. It's well laid out, the food is great and the staff know how to cope with people in crowds of friends, who are drunk (Soho is right around the corner) and people who either don't want complicated food, or who want something authentic...
Ask for their Asian menu and you'll see what I mean. What their chefs can do with vegetables is amazing - I asked for the recipe! |

Thai restaurant with white clean interior. Very attentive staff, loved the food and the Thai beer. Downstairs with no windows makes it a bit box-like, but the interior lights it up. |

Great French restaurant located in Canary Wharf. Its the perfect place to go to have a nice relaxing Sunday lunch. The staff are great and the menu has something for everyone. Definitely recommend it. |

This Italian restaurant has a great location just 1 minute from South Kensington tube station. In the summer time they have some tables outside. The pizzas are really good and you can see how they cook them. The Tiramisu is home made so don't miss it! Good selection of wines. |

I Went to Eriki – an Indian restaurant near Swiss cottage Tube. The reataurant is really busy, The food at Eriki is expensive for a student but well worth it. Rather than serving the same dishes as every other local indian restaurant, they have more traditional Indian dishes. Loved it! Fantastic! |

If you like pancakes, this is where you need to go! Start off with a savoury one for lunch or dinner, but save a bit of space for dessert. Good place to read a book or go with a group of friends. |

Lovely if difficult to find. All italian wine list. Feels like the ingredients are picked today.
Treat yourself to a long lunch
Rose Gray trained Jamie Oliver. She can be seen cooking.
Definitely worth travelling to London for! |

Expensive. Celeb hangout.
Let the waiters make the choice if you don't care about the bill. "Some meat, some fish" worked fine for me.
Tip : Can usually get a table at short notice in the bistro and will usually get to a table in main restaurant unless it's jammers |

This restaurant has a good location in the centre of Covent Garden. A word of warning though, getting off at Covent Garden Tube Station on a Saturday night is utter mayham! You have been warned.
The restaurant itself is styled on a parisian cafe, quite dark and intimate. The food was nice, typical french cuisine, but for the prices it wasnt outstanding. I had Crab cakes which were fabulous and Steak which was just okay. If you are in Covent Garden its worth trying out. |

Everywhere you turn in central london you will find a pizza express. I dont think iI ate anywhere else over my week over there. The menus are the exact same and the decor by and large very similar too. Tasty food, nice price. My pallete doesnt require anything more exotic than a pizza so it kept me happy! |

This is a theatrical themed restaurant, there is just so much to take in visually it’s unbelievable. If you’re lucky you’ll get one of the booths. Food is Mediterranean, very much a Greek feel to it. We went for the set menu and couldn’t get over the amount of food that came out everything is to share apart from the main course. Well worth a visit, even just for the atmosphere and entertainment |

Eds is an American style chain, tacky music, shiny stools, humurous signs, giant helpings of food, beautiful milkshakes. The burgers here are cooked before your eyes and really are special. I loved Ed's and would definately go back! The food is very filling and nicely priced |

I stayed in Swiss Cottage for a few days and there wasn’t much in the way of good food close by, unless you count ‘Subway’ as good food… We went to Eriki on our last night as we didn’t want to stray far and we where pleasantly surprised! I had the Murgh Makhan Palak which I’ve ordered a few times since in my local Indian I liked it so much. The staff are very helpful, giving a mate of mine some good tips on what to have since he had never had Indian before. The restaurant is nice and spacious and the food is ridiculously good! Deffinitely my favourite meal in London! If you do go, and you should, try the Indian cocktails! |

Patisserie Valerie has branches in Soho, Covent Garden, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Marylebone High St and Belgravia. Breakfast is served daily as well as light lunches and a vast array of cakes and pastries for afternoon tea. A nice place for people watching over coffee and a pastry. I even spotted The Corrs the last time I was there!! |

Czech and Slovak house is the meeting place for Czech and Slovak people living in London, so the food is pretty authentic.
The menu lists dishes such as sauerkraut, many soups, goulash, roast pork with dumplings, sirloin of beef in sour cream sauce.
Portions are large and the main course costs only about £10. You should try belt busting strudel for a desert if there is any room for it after a big portion of meal. They also offer specialties from other central European cuisines and excellent Czech beer including Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar.
It is a great place for Czech and Slovak people to meet though foreigners are of course very welcome. For those who have never tasted typical Czech or Slovak food it could be a great experience as it is delicious and everyone just loves it. |

As you may have seen from my previous reviews I am quite a fan of Wagamamas and London certainly did not dissappoint. The food was great and the service excellent. Not too sure about the sterling/euro changeover but I think it may be cheaper in London than Dublin. Come to Wagamama, You'll love it. |

Great location at the heart of St. James' Park! if warm enough a must see breakfast spot - try the porridge and scrambled eggs - they are very good. rather expensive though - but what is not in london? |

I love Wagamama in Dublin, When we went to the Camden market, there was a Wagamama restaurant there too. So we were well chuffed. It was a fair size restaurant too. The food as usual was super, i chose chicken tama rice. Delicious. |

Great Italian restaurant. A real buzz around the place, even at lunchtime. Slight focus on fish which they do really well. I had a mixed fish grill which was excellent.
Not cheap but not outrageous either. Handy to Chelsea and Knightsbridge. |

Been here a few times and it's alwasy amazing, Hakkasan is Asian Fusion, service is great, cocktails are divine but book in advance they have 2hr dining slots and it doesnt really matter how much you spend they stick to it. If you want to enjoy the surrondings and atmosphere I suggest dining later when all the early diners have moved to the bar and it becomes more social. |

Terrific restaurant, best for Sunday lunch (jazz lunch). |

Very famous London Restaurant located on the River Thames. Italian style food though not all pasta. Wood fired oven produces great flavoured steaks etc.
Totally necessary to book in advance, espically outside seats in summer. Top wine list, ery knowledgeable staff.
My favourite Amarone Risotto. |

One of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants. Excellent service, location, presentation. Very very nice food. But not "historic" or memorable. Probably wouldn't go back in a hurry. |

Absolutely recommend the cuisine, great place |

London is probably one of the best cities in the world for ethnic food and Patara is one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten in. I had lunch there one weekend afternoon and the experience was just excellent. Attentive service, delicious food. Highly recommended. What surprises me is that this is a chain of restaurants - apparently they are in many countries and there are at least three others in various parts of London. I cannot speak for any of the others, but if they are as good as this one in Soho, go to the nearest one as soon as you can! |

Great for breakfast. Don't pay for overpriced breakfast in your hotel. Take a stroll to the oriel... A french café in the parisian style. Watch people pass in the trendy sloane square neighbourhood.
Eggs benedict is great. |

This is a great restaurant in Herne Hill, its just opposite the train station, beside the half moon pub. I have been here about 6-7 times, basically everytime i'm in london, they have the tastiest garlic fries, where the fries are cooked in garlic enfused oil rather than having garlic mayo, the always have great specials made from what is in season at the time so everytime i've been i get something different. The decor is very ecclectic with random paints of cats and really ugly people which are up for sale. The wine list isn't huge but it'll do. I really like this place and i've had some excellent meals here, with the wine flowing. |

According to the S+M Café, sausage and mashed potato is 'the world's no. 1 comfort food'. This could be discussed at length, but there is no denying that the sausages dished out here all day are devilishly tasty. Choose from 'lamb and mint', 'traditional' and other types of sausage and compliment them with traditional mash and gravy. They also do a mean breakfast for £4.95. |

Had dinner here on Good Friday, great the way the pubs and restaurants stay open over in England on that day!! While the starter was a bit of a disappointment (a very bland risotto, tasted like it was just peas and rice with no flavouring) the main course was delicious. A steak to die for! The wine was pretty good too! While not the cheapest of meals (although I'm sure alcohol plays a big enough part in that!) it is a lovely restaurant in a great area. The only thing that really marred my experience was the table of smokers beside me, although that is recified now with the smoking ban in place since July! |

Nice Italian in heart of Chelsea
Building is an old art-deco Michelin garage and they've stuck with the theme.
Really liked the place, but was probably too tired to give it a fair review. |

A great little Italian restaurant off Notting Hill gate. Delicious food and the wine is perfectly to boot. |

Cafe Rouge is a must, the food is great! And most have outdoor seating which is perfect when you get a spot of English summer sun! |

I love this place for lunch, there are always a few daily offers including a "Persian speciality" which usually means something that the chef just made up. Tables both inside and outside, desserts, coffee and nice food. A relaxed place really and staff is generally flexible and nice. |

Great authentic Italian. Membership required to book, and I've always been invited, so I'm not sure how it works. Phone 'em and find out. It's worth the effort. |

At the Berkeley hotel. Nice bistro atmosphere.
They do a great Veal and Foie Gras burger (not always on the menu for some reason). Nice mid-priced winelist.
Good ... but I wouldn't cross town to get to it! |

The hotel we stayed reccommended this Italian located in Paddington. Was really looking foward to it but was sadly let down. The food was okay - slightly bland to be honest. Maybe we got them on a bad night. My starter was soup and then pasta for the main course. It was tasty but I expected alot more for the price. The Vegatarian option wasnt great - loads of veg and pasta but no sauce. The atmosphere was quite good and the wine nice. However I expected more of the food |

After a long day sightseeing i was drawn to this Chinese restaurant for its all you can eat menu. £12.95 for all you can eat. Only difference is that it is freshly cooked so you can order starters, then more starters, then main course etc. etc. 50 dishes to choose from. Service was good and quality of food was quite good. Really made a pig of myself. It is pricey if you arent hungry but otherwise Id reccommend it. |

This chain of American restaurants can be spotted in various locations around London. There is one in Paddington. Offers a great English breakfast. Always seems to be busy which is a good sign. Staff were helpful and service was quick. The food is basic and tasty enough. English breakfast works out at about £7 which isnt so bad. If you find yourself hungry in the middle of London, you wont go too far wrong by visiting here |

Frankie & Benny's is a New York Italian Restaurant & Bar. I ate in the one in Stansted airport. It has a wide and varied menu - char-grilled burgers, pizzas, pastas and steak. The bar serves a wide range of beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks. Service was prompt and staff were very nice and well presented. Good spot for a family meal as there is something on the menu for everyone. |

Greatest steakhouse in London. They have 4 locations, St Johns Wood, Hatch End, Whetstone and West Hampstead. Highly Recommended! |

This restaurant is just off London Bridge in a area called Butlers Wharf. Great views looking out over the Thames and the London skyline! Thought the restaurant was a little too posh for the standard of food we got. Wasn't overly impressed with the food and it was quite expensive too. Athough the deserts did make up for things a little bit! |

This restaurant is located in the Butler's Wharf area of London very near to The Tower of London. I think the only place you can experience real Indian food outside of India is England and hence the reason for this choice. We had a selection of starters and each were delicious. I am picky about food at the best of times but I thought the food combinations were great together. There were a large number of Indian people dining here as well, which goes a long way in my book. Recommended if Indian is your thing. |

Genuine Italian. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great breakfast and cheaper than most London hotels will charge for a buffet.
Busy for lunch.... full of suits midweek, so you might need to book.
Real home-made feel even tho's it's close to fine dining. |

Great chain of Dim Sum restaurants in London. Good choice of dim sum and cocktails. Very tasty and great atmosphere. |

If you like your dining to be in opulent surroundings you won’t be dissspointed. Great wine list. Great food. Great service. Great somellier. Pricey... In a "wedding anniversary" or "on expenses" kinda way |

Butlers Wharf Chop house is a restaurant in an area called Butlers Wharf just off the London Bridge. It has amazing views of the Thames, London Bridge and London skyline. I enjoyed the food here and the service was great but it was a bit pricey!! But the atmosphere and the views make it worthwhile!! |

The Old Ship is situated right on the banks of the Thames. They do a GREAT Sunday roast here and serve food from midday until it runs out. Each week the roast changes, the portions are huge and delicious. Desserts are excellent too.
In the summer, when the pub is overflowing with people, you can sit outside on the grass and enjoy the scenery (and hopefully the weather!).
It's best to book a table for lunch on Sunday if you don't want to wait - they take bookings for 12:00 and 3:30 only, otherwise you'll get a table when someone else leaves.
It's a nice walk along the river to get there too! |

Unfortunately I have only had the pleasure of eating here once! Friends of mine let me in on this little secret in West Kensington.
We booked for dinner because there were 10 of us - it's only Mama Marcelle cooking in the kitchen so it's only polite to let her know when you're coming (she's the waitress too). Fantastic hostess - came out and had a laught with us at the end of our meal.
The food was absolutely divine. We had a banquet which was amazing - dish after dish of the tastiest food. AND plenty of wine.
This place is unbelievable value! I highly recommend you pay it a visit. |
