Massive Irish pub in the Covent Garden area. Its spread over 4 floors, split level, so if you get lost it might take you while to find your friends again! Its quite expensive too. Good place to watch matches especially the rugby! They also serve food.

Looking for a great pub? Close to Edgware Road, Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Speakers Corner, Baker Street and Edgware Road Tube Station, the Wargrave is a charming little pub offering great food and drink. Their pub food and evening menus are cheap but the portions are huge and very filling. Despite the variety of restaurants and cuisines available locally, the Wargrave is highly recommended for some good English Food and a mixture of pastas and other dishes. Get there early of a summer evening to book a table in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Enjoy the music from the choir practise!

Aussie bar in Angel, Islington that is great for watching sports. They have massive screens and theres always a good atmosphere. They serve mostly Australian beers. The bouncers can be a bit of a pain sometimes. This place is just ok. Its open late and gets a good crowd but not the best bar in Islington!

The quantity and quality of cocktails here mean that I dont really remember a whole lot, but I know this place started out excellent.

Located in the west end it has a sort of an Arabic theme and is great fun.

The security on the door are a lot more laid back than most central London bars. Great atmosphere in here, ebverybody is chatty and friendly. Ten out of ten.

This place is a tourist trap that over-charges and under-delivers on everything. The music is terrible, the dance-floor is a small strip of linoleum and the place is just one big sausage factory (full of guys that is). Don’t be fooled into thinking this place is in any way classy just by its great location. The ‘Cheers’ theme is poorly done and I really wish I hadn’t spent so much time and money there instead of finding somewhere else! Avoid.

We only found Tiger Tiger on our last day in London, somewhere around piccadilly.. GREAT TO GET CHEAP FOOD AND DRINKS FROM EARLY BIRD MENU until 7pm each week night - most drinks and bar food are half price! The place is fairly cool too man. Would reccommend it!

This really is the quintessential English pub slap bang in the middle of Soho. It oozes Britishness from everywhere. The clientele are a vary mixed and friendly bunch. The staff are real professionals and are well able to control a busy pub. Great to watch the football in.

The fridge .... Yes it is as cool as the name implies. The crowd is a 23-35 one ... Very cool. Everybody looks good. They keep the kids off their premisis too so it's cool. The girls in here are a bit to uptight for my liking .... There is no impressing them. Other than that yeah, its cool

The Comedy Store is on Coventry street - somewhere near Leicester Square - and, from experience it is a brilliant night out. Similar to the laughter lounge in Dublin, which I am quite familiar with, The Comedy Store is set below ground level. Its a lot bigger though, probably capacity for 300, but not sure.Every night there are 2 shows, usually identical shows. They are hosted by an introducer and feature 4 diffferent comedians so essentially you get 5 comedians so surely something for everybody. If you are with a group coming here is grreat. You should get tickets in advance to be sure although i think they can be got at the door if you arrive early enough.

Particularly good during the summer months, The Big Chill Bar in London's East End is one of the coolest bars in London. If you get a seat outside you'll find it hard to leave for the day. They have DJs playing at night time also. Great spot for a drink after a curry on Brick Lane.

Great bar for Salsa and Mojitos in London. Its always a great crowd, but you have to get there early, seriously early to stand a chance of getting in.

Great atmosphere at this Notting Hill pub, opposite the police station, with sunny terrace and good bar food.

Carbon Bar offers that rare thing that London could do with more of: a late night spot where you don't have to pay to get in with classy cocktails and DJs spinning smooth, Ibiza-style tunes. The spacious, dimly lit industrial warehouse space is a bar/night club hybrid which affluent, attractive professionals fed up with queuing for clubs will love. Although there's no official dance floor you inevitably get people letting loose as the night hots up. Music sets the funky vibe and there's a DJ booth elevated over the bar in a 'God is a DJ' kind of way. The night we went (sampling 'Fool's Gold' and 'More-Phine' cocktails, both highly recommended) DJ Olli Collins - a Pacha and Ministry of Sound regular - was spinning some excellent tunes that had us wishing they'd already secured their 3am licence (currently it's open until 1am). For those who really want to impress there's the Champagne Bar upstairs serving high end and rare Tattinger fizz, bottles of which adorn the mesh walls as you ascend.

Seriously disappointing - do not use these guys for a private party. It's a beautiful venue and their drinks are pretty good, but they're not set up to do private parties, there's a lot of attitude with the crowd, the music's terrible, and it can take up to 25 minutes to get served at the bar. AVOID!

This pub is bang in the middle of Paddington. A lot of tourists tend to frequent it but it serves excellent food especially bangers and mash. Had a few pints of Guinness there which were really good. Service was quick and prompt. Nice for a few pints!

It's an amazing club. Good music and a lot of beautiful girls. If you like old pop music ('70,'80) this club is perfect beacuse there is a new room where you can dance the old hits!! Tiger Tiger is also in the central zone of the city, a very good position! I want to suggest it to everybody. If you need other informations visit its website: http://www.tigertiger-london.co.uk/

This place used to be great but like elemjay said its let down by staff plus new guestlist policy for the main floor and unreasonable £15 door entry after 10pm on saturdays. management sort it out! Your staff were useless last night, it was raining we were asking if we could get in and the bouncer was waiting for the cashier to get in place and the lady running the door was clueless! Anyway there is way to get in here for free - if your smart you will figure it out ;)

The Queen's Head is my favourite pub in London. You have to know it's there - it's in the back streets of West Kensington. If you're looking for quaint, cosy and traditional (in London) then this is it! The food isn't quite good too. In summer the beer garden is fantastic - it gets really full and has a great vibe. They do nice big jugs of pimms - full of fresh fruit pieces). I think they even do jazz evenings. I recommend spending the whole afternoon there on a nice hot summers day!

Old school East End boozer. Represents a fine old fashioned traditional pub by the canal approx half a mile from Mile End Tube Station. Has that classic "don't go in on your own" look from the outside, but its a cracking pub in London. Crooners' night on Fridays when the locals sing Rat Pack songs. Look out for the adopted Irish lads in the corner. That's us drinking our ale toasting East End living.

It's now called Sirocco. And it is in central London, not all the way out in Barnet as the map link shows! (and the website link has also changed ro www.sirocco-london.com) Loads of large screens for sports viewing, and then music and djs later on.

I really love the Notting Hill/Portobello Road area of London, its got everything, cool markets, fab restaurants and designer stores, pretentious and unpretentious bars and restaurants. Electric Brasserie is a restaurant/cocktail bar and okay, it is a bit pretentious, but its also quite cool! We didn't eat here but some people we were with recommended it, and said that the food is good value and tasty. The cocktails were great! Made in front of you with proper fresh mint for the mojitos and plenty of fresh fruit garnishes. On a friday night it was busy with a nice after work vibe and the music was good too. I'd definately go back!
