We got changed to another hotel on the block as the Rosedene was full. We never did get a couble bed, but the staff looked at several rooms to try. We went without hot water for the first couple days, then when we asked the staff seemed surprised that we hadn't complained sooner. We went without hot water for the first couple days, then when we asked the staff seemed surprised that we hadn't complained sooner. We didn't understand the boiler system and learned we had to ask. Partially our misunderstanding of another country's system. So do always ask right away for hot water!!!!! London was really fun.close

Location was really great. Near busstation. Price was cheap. Cleanliness was poor, our bed and window was broken, our little "balcony" was terrible, spider webs everywhere, dirt and juicecans... But anyway, we had amazing trip in London, Southampton and Cornwall, England in so beautiful...

It was perfect!!really good location, very near to the downtown but in a calm zone!! Moreover the bed was big and comfortable!! To sum up one of the best hostel where I´ve been!!!

Travelers, this hotel is excellent, care, cleaning and of course the security and location near Victoria Station and the subway, bus line, even walking to get excellent places. Totally recommended.

my room was smell like someone smoking in my room after my room had been clean. I had been extra charge to my bill because i paying by card. They must tell me early about this!!!! They charge me for storing luggage in their hotel for two pounds unfairly.

It was small as same as the London prison. Our toilet was 2 stairs up. Our rooms for 2 was so small,hot, and horful. I will not recommand to any one.

Window was broken in room 9 and had an awful squeak when left open. Had to close it to get peace.

The location was perfect. There was a lot of mold in the room, the cleaning staff went through our luggage and the shower flooded the bathroom in about ten minutes. If you're going strictly for location, it's perfect.

we had to pay 5 pounds for an electricity adaptator, i think they must lend you this for the time you are in the hostel. they didn't change clothes' bedroom, only towels and the last day. staff weren't much nice.

shower is not working on top floor so the bathroom downstairs was constantly busy. I was waiting for an hour to get into the bathroom and NO HOT WATER left, i was forced to have a cold shower and it was 9am. not worth the money.

the bathroom ant the toilets haven't got a key lock. There are some traces of cup of tea and on the blanket. There is no beakfast.

Not very expensive for London and the best thing is the location, really very near Victoria station, although I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay.

El hostel está a dos minutos de la estación donde nos dejó el autobús del aeropuerto de LONDON STANSTED. Pero tardamos una hora en encontrarlo porque no llevabamos mapa. Cuando llegamos llamamos por tlf porque la puerta estaba cerrada y enseguida nos abrieron. Also, as there is no reception in this hotel - you check in across the road - there is no security at all, which could be worrying for some people. On the plus side; the location is fantastic. Victoria coach, rail & tube stations are within 5 minutes walk. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and many of London's other tourist attractions are within easy reach, and there are reasonably priced pubs and restaurants nearby. The room itself was clean and tidy and at £32 was very cheap for such a great location in London. The area seemed pretty safe to walk around at night. Overall I'd score this hotel as a 7/10, but with just a little more care and attention to detail it could easily pull itself up to a 9.close

Wouldn't have hurted if the guy checking us in had smiled or taken his ear phones out... Clean room, although smelled like someone came in and smoked in there before we got back in the evening. Glass door on the private bathroom was a bit annoying. Location was excellent.

they have at least 3 hostels in the same street, we were transferred to the hostel next to the Rosedene. Room 6 and 7. Quite rooms, very small bathroom.

there is no WIFI like it was said. The computer room has only 1 LCD + CPU. It's like a toilet room. Terrible!!! Cannot sleep if there is a party in the upper floor. The wall is VERY VERY thin!!!

I have to complain about the treatment we received in this hostel. We firstly reserved a 5-bed room and we obtained 2 rooms instead! The first picture we had in front of us was diorder and dirtiness. Besides, the restroom was filthy. There were hairs in the sink and in the bath from other costumers; the bathroom rug was extremely dirty, too, as if someone else had been stepping on it before with muddy shoes! We went to the lobby to fill out a claim form and the receptionist didn't allow us. He said that "this is London and you booked a cheap hostel, so I couldn't expect anything better for such a price". I completely understand that we made a reservation at a hostel, but that is not an excuse to provide costumers with cleaniness and proper responses on your side. I am very disappointed and I would never recommend your hostel to anyone. I have been to London on many other occasions before, and I didn't expect any luxury from a hoste., but cleaniness and nicer staff.close

Staff very kind and helpful. Organisation acc. to ordering and arrival good. Bathing facilities were very poor, because there was almost no hot water in the very small "hot-water gadget" in the shower. Location close to Victoria is perfect. But do not invite your fiance, if she spends...

It was a nice hostel, it was silent in the night, what we really liked. The rooms looked en smelled fresh and clean. The location was perfect for us. Because it doesn't matter wich airport you come from direct line to victoria station. And it was very central. Good hostel.

We were not really stay at Rosedene as we booked. Since the landlord has few hostels in that district. They told us the Rosedene was fully booked when we check in. The pipe is leaking we have a flood floor after a shower. We were glad we only stay for 1 night.close
