Amazing hostel, when i walked up to the hostel, my jaw literally dropped when i saw it. if your 6ft 1 +, you may find the beds too short, i am 6ft 2, and i was physcially unable to sleep as i am too tall and would wake up cramped. Bed curtains and lockers are great, had a wii in tv room to play... more

The Palmers Lodge is in a great older victorian building. The rooms are nice and they provide lockers under the beds. It's a bit out of the way for the main attractions, but I had a great stay and felt extremely safe!

The Tube is nearby and you can be anywhere around the middle of the city in 15-20min. The wireless internet is a bit temperamental and the showers lack anywhere to put soap/shampoo, but these are tiny things and on the whole it would be an easy recommendation.

This hostel was very good and the staff were excellent however the photos that show it off must've been taken awhile ago as the place is now a little grubby. I stayed in one of the basement rooms and even though it was near the bar had no problems sleeping. Real good location not two minutes... more

The hostel was really welcoming. East going and laid back but at he same time clean and safe. The location was not amazing but it such a nice place to be. And the mixed dorms double beds for couples makes so much sense! More hostels should be like palmers lodge.

Close to a tube stop, but the tube lines (Jubilee and Bakerloo) are under repair works right now. The capaccinos and fresh fruit were a real bonus with breakfast. I enjoy the privacy curtains on all the beds.

I bet it's one of the best deals in London. Great value for reasonable price. Very good hostel for price. It is located away from city center, but the hostel is located near the tube station and bus station so it was still convenient. The staff was helpful, and it seemed like a well-run place!

During my stay, there were two foreign school groups staying there as well. So it was rather noisy even until late at night with thin wall and wooden floor. It was rather interesting in some way at breakfast when you hardly hear English being spoken considering I'm in UK.

Great location as it's about a 3 minute walk to the tube station on a major line. The bar downstairs makes it easy to meet people, and the staff are proactive about arranging things to do. Breakfast was really good, with lots of variety. I definitely reccomend it!

Bathrooms and showers could do with a redesign (they are cramped and not the best set up) but otherwise its a really good hostel, lots of privacy within the dorms themselves with curtained bed areas.

Charming staff and building. A bit far out of the city (especially when the closest metro line is closed for construction), but manageable (the 31 and 13 buses head to town). A lot is included- breakfast, internet, guidebooks, which made my stay a good one.

Second time I've visited this hostel! The national express coach stops 5 min from the hostel, which is extremely convenient if you're coming from stansted. Love the double bunk beds! It is located so getting to and from anything is easy, but still far away from the centre of London to be quiet....

I liked the hostel, helpful stuff and good breakfast. The bed has curtain so I could keep privacy even in a dorm room with a lot of beds. But I didn't like the shower, was very uncomfortable. and number of sink was not enough so I always had to brush my teeth with a very small sink in the bathroom.
