The rooms are pretty small. But in general is a nice hostel and with rooms in different buildings. Breakfast is a bonus. Only thing is that they require, even after your booking through HostelWorld, your credit card details!!! So, what's the point of booking using HW??

There weren't any downsides other than pretty small rooms, but it didn't bother me. Also, the toilet is in an awkward location with the wall very close, barely leaving any leg room - can't be so easy for the vertically gifted if you know what I mean.close

It's your average Hostel, perhaps a little short on toilets and bathrooms. Staff were a great help! Always friendly and willing to give directions or assistance.

A little dingy, probably cleaner than it seems, just that it's old (carpets, beds, etc.) Pretty small bed, shower. Nothing exceptionally good or bad.

Aside from the wretchedly uncomfortable beds, I can't complain about much at all. The younger crowd can test the patience of someone my age (early 30s), but overall it was a great value!

The room facing the street and with single glazed windows was fairly loud. The room (single) was large and had good furnishings. The breakfast (English) was good. Overall this is a perfectly acceptable place to spend a few days in London. My only real complaint is that I did not get a proper invoice for the full price of the rooms, only a receipt for the amount I paid on the premises (i.e. excluding the deposit), which means I am not going to be reimbursed in full by my employer.close

I had quite an unpleasant feeling when checking in, because the personnel really tried to fiddle around with the exchange rate to make me pay as much as possible - as I paid with a card, they insisted I pay in euros, but with the exchange rate set by themselves, so in the end I paid in pounds - very strange. The 1-person room that I got was however so small that it reminded me of a prison carcer. Still it was possible to sleep there without any problem.close

We had a wonderful stay at St. Athan's and I would book there again without hestitation. Everything was as advertised. I stayed there with a friend from college, and the two of us girls had no problems at all with the neighborhood, security or anything like that.

The breakfast was very nice. If Hotel is full, be there early for the breakfast otherwise you can expect to wait. Location is not close to the center or the most famoussights, but close to stations (tube and train) and in a quit and beautiful neighbourhood.

Good area of town. Easy to catch the bus or tube. Downfall was having to wait a while sometimes to get someone to come answer the door. You have to buzz it for them to let you in and sometimes would take several mins. Other than that good.

The hotel was very nice and clean, maybe a bit cramped! The double beds are too short for taller guys ´n girls! There is some traffic noise from the street! Although the shower facilities are shared, we never had any problems! And ofcourse the breakfast is good and very filling!

First arrival hampered by unfriendly greeting, and the hassle we were causing by daring to book in. Stairway to room on top floor very steep, very narrow, take your life in your own hands when carrying anything bigger than a handbag. Still, by no means the worst place I have stayed

However, the staff told me that the hotel was full and he asked me to go to another block where my room is situated at. The building itself has no signage of hostel etc.which seems to be kind of illegal and the room condition is very very bad - very tiny, not clean and worn down with no TV. There is also a very big gap between the room door and the floor! No management at all! I think they should have let me know beforehand if the booking is already full! very bad!close
