Covering over 600 square miles, London is by far Europe's largest city. But don't let this put you off - many of its most famous landmarks are within walking distance of each other. From Big Ben and Westminster Abbey you can wander the streets only to find yourself at the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus. The English capital is also perfect for those who enjoy living life at a fast pace. With 47% of the city's population between the age of 16 and 44, there are fewer places on the planet with as much energy as London.

If you don\'t mind eating sandwiches for lunch and dinner, or going to the local Sainsbury\'s then you can manage lunch and dinner on about 15GBP. There\'s plenty of culture and free museums and galleries in London, so if not for all the other expensive stuff like accomodation and food, then at least 90% of those places are free. I\'ve heard horror stories about the weather in London, but I got EXTREMELY lucky in that all 3 days were beautiful, sunny and warm. I\'ll be back again in mid-June for another 3 nights so maybe I can be a little bit more insightful.close

You only have an hour an a half to take you breakfast, when you are 4 in a room you don\\\'t have time to take your shower before eating. You are not allowed to DRINK ANYTHING in the common room if you didn\\\'t buy your drink at the hostel. As the hostel is located in the 2nd zone, the travel card for the underground is way too expensive. The towels cost £1 + £5 deposit. the padlocks cost £5. If you want to use the internet, you\\\'d better go to the cyber cafe down the street, you\\\'ll save £0.50 per hour.I won\\\'t come back.close

If we were there longer I am sure the people would warm up a bit but man it takes a while. Maybe they can be jaded to travelers I guess. But I loved the diversity there and it reminded me of California. The indian food we had there was excellent. We tried the traditional fish and chips but it was nothing to write home about. Really what the english do best is tea and sweets. Clotted cream is our new addiction. Shopping in soho and camden town is fierce. I loved the more unique stores with the crazy printed stockings! Partying there is much like it is for us back home. We have hollywood and a club scene is the same no matter where you go. But man I really had my share of guys that wanted to keep dancing with me. The bartenders at this one club sucked ass though. The sights were great, St. James Park near Buckingham Palace is beautiful. London is my kind of place. The people are style\'n and its great that we all speak the same language. Oh and the tube. I flipp\'n love the tube. It is the easiest thing to get around on. If you get lost, then shame on you.close

Even though eveything is a bit expensive comepared to other cities, it\'s still worth your money. Lots of fun, much to see! Especially, you can enjoy a lot of different cultures in this city. For example, you can have Japanese style breakfast, Indian style lunch, and Dutch style dinner on the same day in this city! :D As British food has its bad reputation, you can taste all different foods from all over the world! Trying fish \'n\' chips is also still good, though. :Dclose

It is very big however really everything you want unless going for proper English sightseeing or going to see a game/concert is generally in Zones 1 and 2. Public transport despite what Londoners always say is really quite good by world standards. Or at least in comparison to Sydney, Australia its amazing. Some people in hostels are really great amazing people, though it being such an international city means that often there isn\'t that much common language. You\'ll meet all types!close
