Unfortunately you won\'t close one single eye at night, because the two big rooms are through-rooms and the door won\'t break a single sonic wave. Moreover there is one toilet for 16 people and one shower for 14. Hot water will work occasionally. So better bring your sleeping pills and deodorant. Sorry, I have to post this since nothing of these inconveniences are stated in your ads!close

That was one of the best days we could have done. We got to do white-water rafting for my first time as part of it. Class! Our guide's name was Rok and he made it one of the highlights of my travelling so far! Eoin and myself then hit the city to see the night-life and we were impressed even though it was a tuesday night. Cant beat 2 euro pints! And the hot slovenian bar-lady Lara. Checked out the city as well the following day and really impressive (hotties everywhere) and so cheap compared to home (or venice)close

If you're eager to get all the way around on the city you can do it on foot, but it will take a good number of hours. The ratings online for the zoo aren't fantastic, but if it's a quiet afternoon and you like fuzzy cute baby animals then definitely go:) The river is lovely to walk down at night and seek out the Pizzaria right down near the river and order "family" sized from the 100 choices of different pizzas! A slice is bigger than a persons head, and it's very very cheap.close

Slovenia is now on the Euro, and it is a city that is easy on the wallet - 2.50 beers and 6.00 euro pizzas in tourist trap central on the river. If I ever head back, I'll rent a bike for sure to get around easier, and to see more sights outside of the historic center. Ljubljana can be done afoot, but biking it would be much nicer. If your hesitant about making the venture to Ljubljana, DO IT! You'll be surprised at the laid back atmosphere during the day on the river, the great food, and the cheap beers. Whereas other European cities feel fast paced and crowded, Ljubljana is a pleasant change.close

Also, a day's trip to Piran is worth while: nice medieval town at the seaside - the coastline is a little touristic though and there are no sandy beaches there. Watch out, sometimes busses don't run as scheduled... Anyway, Ljubljana is definitely worth a trip! However, I guess you can see everything in a weekend - unless you want to do some in-depth cultural exchange...close

5Ljubljana is a fantastic city and this was a great base to explore from. A 20min walk to the city centre via the lovely Tivoli park. Pri Katrci is really nice guest house and the room was great- large, comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant were both good and the staff were really friendly...

The location is excellent - right on the pretty main square. It was v clean. Breakfast was ok, though the juice was of the sugary squash type that you often get in Europe. The beds were a bit hard, and the double beds are really 2 singles with a hard edge between them making them properly...

1The room we were allocated (300) backed on to Club Bacchius which unfortunately was open til 6am and the beat of the music could be heard in our room, causing disrupted nights sleep. Apart from this, the room was great, location was great and breakfast was more than adequate!
