Pretty, clean, spacious rooms. Not in the city centre, but metro in Lisbon works well. As a girl, I wouldn't like to walk alone on the area by night.

the staff at the hostel were very helpful and friendly with any questions we had. we even met them while out later in the night, and they enquired how we were, how we were enjoying lisbon, and if we had any questions. 10out of ten

We wish we were informed about breakfast and did not have to wait for the room.

I can only complain about not getting back my 10% deposit deducted from my bill. It's the first time it's happened to me. Apart from that everything was more than fine.

This was a really clean and comfortable budget hotel! The buffet breakfast is nothing to brag about, so dont let it sway your choice. Its really quite average, and if they ran out of stuff (e.g. toast), they didnt refill it for us! We didnt find the staff to be particularly friendly or helpful...

The people at the reception were incredibly friendly, helpful, kind. Breakfast each morning was excellent and always plenty to eat. I would not think of staying anywhere else if I found myself in Lisbon for a few days.

As per the "feeling" about staying in the ho(s)tel (it's sth in the middle)... We booked the Twin Room for 3 nights. To our surprise, we got a dorm-like room with 4 beds. We were too tired to complain the day we arrived, but we did it the very next day. Lady at a reception who dealt with the issue explained that Dorm-Like-Room is exactly like a Twin-Room, and after all, we don't need to pay for 2 extra beds but we stil have the room for ourselves! See? You sometimes don't even realize how lucky you can be. Such naive idiots we turned out to be to think that Twin Room offers a better, cozy feeling to a couple than a 4 beds Dorm-Like-Room :)! Did I mention that a magic word "sorry" didn't pollute the air? Oops. Eventually, after some nagging she offered us a different room, which was a real Twin Room which - as it turns out - after some tweaking (i.e. put 2 beds together to sleep together at night) gave us an ersatz of the expected "feeling". I am surprised that this place gets one of the highest ranks in hostelworld. Generator in London, even if looks more dodgy and has a lower rank (doesn't claim to be a hotel!!!) has at least more friendly staff and beats it in every possible way in terms of "feeling". Not to mention Generator in Berlin which is one of the toppest hostel I've ever been to. The truth is that it's all about the people. People who don't do the job properly do annoy and can ruin your holidays. Luckily, we had a great holiday eventually. Thanks to Sintra. Thanks to Pasteis de Belem. And Lisbon is cool. The city is worthy a visit and Residencial Joao XXI i might be a good choice if you don't give a ... too much. We do.close

The staff were very friendly, they helped us to find the good buses or anything else. I couldn't belive they made our bed and cleaned the room everyday for the price we paid! It worth it!!! It's a nice place to stay for a weekend or even a little longer! Thank you guys!

A decent sort of place with a better "free" breakfast than most places. A bit far from Baixa and Alfama.

A nice budget hotel, clean and price includes breakfast. I bit further out than would have been ideal but taxis are really cheap and walking distance to central Lisbon. I'd recommend it for the price.

10 minute walk to either metro, both downhill, or taxi rank across the road. Lots of restaurants in the area. Beds really comfortable, bath/shower in room, soap provided, towels and tv with a range of programmes from more than one country. Would definately stay again.

The hostel isn´t a fancy place but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. It´s not located right in the centre of the city but there is a bus that take you right to the front door in around 15 min.

A cozy hostel situated not far from the city centre, small but comfortable rooms. Helpful staff, especially the lady in the reception who I admired for being fluent in many languages. The only minus- during my five-day-stay not a single thing was changed on the breakfast menu.

The rooms were very clean and safe. But if you are looking for a "youth hostel" this is not the right adress. Instead this hotel is a small, clean hotel, I enjoyed a lot staying here

A good place to stay, a little far away from its closest metro station Picoas, but in general is a great place for the money. Also the included breakfast is great perfect to get ready for a long walk around Lisbon

Nice and clean small hotel with kind staff. Room was air conditioned with comfortable bed, TV and nice bathroom. The only remark is that the breakfast should start earlier than 08:00 AM and the breakfast room should be made bigger. Otherwise A+.

THE STAY WAS VERY PLEASANT. THE STAFF ARE EXTREMELY FREINDLY. THEIR HELP AND GUIDANCE ABOUT THE PLACE WERE MUCH BETTER COMPARED TO THE TOURIST INFORMATION STAFF. I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK THERE IN THE FUTURE.
