The staff were friendly. The dinner night was pretty good. Facilities are new looking. It was November so hostel was quite lifeless though. Only a 5min walk to the Old Town.

BEAUTIFUL hostel with a ton of character with a perfect location in the center of the shopping and historical district. A full kitchen and comfortable living area. Thick bedding, breakfast and lockers free of charge. The staff was very helpful, except the grouchy housekeeper.

the staff were very friendly and everything was so close - we loved the little street it was in with its narrow stair wells and lots of atmosphere

We only stayed one very short night, so there isn´t much to tell. The staff was friendly and the room clean. The only minus was the two separate beds, we had hoped to have a double bed on the last night on our honeymoon.

Best location for tourism into the city. Walk to traditional restaurants and nightlife of the Bairro Alto. Extremely friendly staff, met other guests from all over Europe, and brand new facilities! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.

We were little bit disappointed with breakfast. Too small for us :-) Just two small croissants, butter and smal jam and milk/coffee/tea...but other things was quite good... We know better hostels, but for that price, we can recommend it.

In hindsight, this is the main reason to recommend this hostel. Negatives: difficult to find; narrow and steep staircase to climb with baggages; booked a double bed and got two separate beds instead; dark and crowded inside. Positives: breakfast included (although not as lavish as in the Oporto Poets); most attractions are within easy reachclose

I suggest it would be a good idea to inclue the house number (42) of the second location for the twins an d double rooms in the rua do duque in the location map (pdf file) and the catalouge as it was a bit difficult to find this location without the house number

This is a great place to stay, right around the corner from A Brasileira and walking distance from a bunch of other things. The only down side to this place is that the beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Nothing else to say... Lisbon Poets Hostel is a beautiful place, the best in the city. At the evening, staying in the louge room, reading a book or talking with people, is so great, sometimes I prefered to remain in the hostel, rather go outiside around Lisbon!

Located in Largo do Chiado, the heart of Lisbon. Because of that, maybe it's a little noisy but it's a charming hostel, with nice staff, huge rooms and a comfortable living room.
