We enjoyed our stay in this hostel very much. The location was excellent, the staff good and helpful, breakfast nice and the rooms aand bathroom clean. I can recommend this place

Great hostel and great staff who are always welcoming. Smile hostel is a short walk to everything you want and has the best breakfast i have had in any hostel!!

A wonderful little hostel in the middle of Lisbon. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was the best I've had in a hostel, even coming with healthy things. Great kitchen facilities too, always a bonus.

Everything abbout this hostel is perfect except for the nondescript location. Turn left at the little church, go 2 meters up the side street away from the rail tracks and its the small buzzer--has 'smils' next to it. Love the character and staff!!!!

Really good location in city centre. Excellent breakfast and kitchen. Quite dormitory and twnin private bedroom, the double bedroom, nearby the kitchen, is a bit noisy

not very easy to find but if you did, you'll be happy and you'll feel very comfortable. for me, the location and the cleanliness are the most important facts and both of them were more than excellent!!! the breakfast is a lot and very delicious!!! enjoy smile :)

The location couldn't be better, right near the town centre and the cathedral. The hostel has lots of character, with traditional painted tiles in every room. For me the only disadvantage was the showers: the walls of the cubicles are frosted glass, so other guests of the same gender see your outline while you're showering :&close

Nice place but it is more like a house than a hostel...which is quite nice sometimes but as far as the party goes it's not a place for that...probably more of a couples place

Staying at Smile Hostal was a great experience and I highly recommend this hostal to anyone traveling to Lisbon. Why? It is in a safe neighborhood near Se Cathedral, it's clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely stay here the next time I travel to Lisbon.

SMILE was amazing! The location was very good (short walking distance to the metro, close to places to go out, etc) and the hostel itself was charming in every way. We had a group of 8 and were accommodated in every way. We loved SMILE and did not want to leave at the end!

Smile hostel was wonderful. The staff was so helpful, and I felt very comfortable in general. Considering I was traveling alone, that made a big difference for me. Public transport was close and easy, though you could walk in just a few minutes as well.

Definitely the hostel with the most character! Huge rooms and new furnishings - For the amazing decor, it's a real steal. Certainly highly recommended!! Plus, it has a great common area with a flat screen TV and PS2!!
