A neat little place to stay - the woman in charge was lovely, the only downside of staying here was the walls were paper thin.

No complaints about Africa Brasil apart from the fact that the stairs are a bit of a trek. The ladies running it were lovely, the room clean and the location perfect. For the price this place is an absolute bargain-I would recommend it to anyone!

Staff lovely, very friendly and quick to let us in regardless of what time we arrived back each day/evening, rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast bread jam and coffee, so very basic and we ended up eating out each morning. 2 toilets in total for guests so often had to wait to use. Hot water...

The women were great, so friendly and lovely. The house didn`t look nice from outside. But the hostel and our room was very clean and kind. We even got a small breakfast. Really lovely women...

Es un alojamiento sencillo, con un mobiliario antiguo, pero a la vez alegre, limpio, y muy agradable. Está muy bien situado, y el personal que nos atendió fue amable. Nosotros contratamos una habitación con baño compartido, pero en nuestro cuarto dispusimos de ducha.

It was the second time we were staying there, and again we felt like we were at home...the appearence of this guest house from the outside doesn't give the right idea of the place, but you have just to ring the bell, and the proprietary will make you feel at ease like you're at home. Everything is clean and working, now the offer also free Internet and a simple breakfast. Leaving the Brazil-Africa is always the saddest moment of leaving Lisbon...but we'll come back again for sure!close

The location is excellent, walking distance to the center and the castle! This is a peaceful and safe place to be. the old lady is really friendly! Remember to ask her for any information that you need to know in Lisboa. For example, good restaurant, budget meal... and the location is just great!

It was not dirty but almost every furnitures and style are old. That is the reason why there made no fun to stay in the shared living room. The bath & shower room was there only one to share. I had to wait so long to take shower and at last I had to gave up to wait, so that I had to wash me...

Está magníficamente situado, las señoras que lo atienden son encantadoras y es como estar en casa de la abuela pasando unos días: la decoración es de hace cincuenta años y las habitaciones huelen a humedad, pero esto se arregla con un buen incienso...lo único malo: el wc es compartido.

Escogimos este hostal porque estaba muy cerca de la céntrica Plaza del Comercio. Teníamos conexión con todas las líneas de bus, metro, tranvías, trenes, ferrys. Perfecto. La habitación estaba muy limpia. Tenía el aspecto de las habitaciones que salen en la serie "Cuéntame".... more Escogimos este hostal porque estaba muy cerca de la céntrica Plaza del Comercio. Teníamos conexión con todas las líneas de bus, metro, tranvías, trenes, ferrys. Perfecto. La habitación estaba muy limpia. Tenía el aspecto de las habitaciones que salen en la serie "Cuéntame". Disponía de ducha y lavabo. Para lo demás, había baño compartido. También hay en el hostal nevera, microondas, cafetera y cubiertos. Vienen muy bien si te compras comida en algún centro comercial. Pero para destacar, sobre todo, la gran amabilidad de las tres señoras del hotel. Fueron un encanto. Siempre con una sonrisa. El precio creemos que es adecuado. Por situación, amabilidad y limpieza es una muy buena opción para repetir.close

Although the facilities aren't excellent, the staff is extremely kind and the location is superbe, so that it overweights the slight inconveniences of an old house. No doubt we would repeat.
