The typical Swiss chalet hotel is located in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, a three-minute walk from the train station and has a bus stop at the front door. Not forgetting the spectacular views of the mountain, the Jungfrau, with the Silberhorn peak plus 'Goethe's' waterfall, the Staubbach. Furthermore our hotel is in the area made famous by Sir Arnold Lunn and James Bond and at the end of the 15km Schilhorn-Mürren-Lauterbrunnen ski run. In the winter you can almost ski straight into your freshly-made bed! The world famous 311 meter Staubbach waterfall, which was mentioned in Goethe's poem 'Gesang der Geister über den Wassern', can be seen very close to our house. In the summer a unique experience awaits you. Mürren and Wengen are also easy to reach. The hotel Schützen has its own bus stop so you do not even have to walk (3 minutes) to the station, if you do not want to. No other hotel in the village has this advantage. Another advantage is the numerous possibilities for coming back. From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg. The restaurant offers, especially in the winter with its open-fire, a relaxing and homely feeling, as one would expect from a typical Swiss restaurant. In the summer there is the formidable view from the garden restaurant to the mountains. Breakfast awaits with an extensive buffet with many local specialities. In the evening you can either have the three-course half board menu or choose from the à-la-carte menu. Let yourself be taken in by Swiss food. Breakfast Buffet is served from 08:00 - 10:00. Half-board is served from 6pm - 08:30pm. Breakfast and taxes are included in room rates. Pets are only allowed on request as there are only a small number of rooms that could accommodate dogs. The price per dog, regardless of their size is CHF 15.00 per animal and day without food. Cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, no fee will be charge. Cancellation between 29 and 14 days before arrival, 50% of the total costs will be charge. Cancellation between 14 and 0 days before arrival, 80% of the total costs will be charge. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charge CHF20.00 per night and child for a cot. All older children and adults are charge CHF50.00 per night and person for an extra bed. Extra beds and cots are only available on request and have to be confirmed by the hotel. Extra costs do not automatically appear on the final bill and need to be paid separately to the hotel direct. W-LAN in public areas and in the rooms between 08.30 and 10pm. From winter 2008/2009 free. Indoor parking is available at the hotel and is free of charge. Non-smoking rooms available.
