It's suggested to visit this hostel by bus instead of train, coz walking to JR station takes more than 10mins. Bus stop is just 3mins walk from the hostel. Room is very clean and staff is nice. One thing we'd like to point out is that hot water is not enough for bath at late night...

This small hotel is well located between the Kyoto station and the centre, Shoji-Kawaramachi crossroad. Very convenient. And during night you can sleep well as it is very quiet. We really felt good in this hotel during our 5 days stay.

Location is a bit too far from subway and JR stations. Air-conditioning not working properly in all the rooms. Ridiculously small bathroom in rooms. Shared fridge not cleaned out of rotten food by staff. Overall it was good value for the low price but didn't offer anything beyond that.

Hôtel qui nécessiterait d'être rafraichi, néanmoins bien situé et doté du confort nécessaire pour se remettre en état après de bonnes journées de balade dans Kyoto. Ambiance calme. Personnel aimable (c'est le Japon après tout).

The walk from station was a little further than expected but still manageable. Location is otherwise ideal! Room furnishings are a tad old but perfectly clean!

Good value hotel in a good location for the Kyoto station area. Aging decor is made up for by the helpful, friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are small but clean. Free internet, tea and Coffee and a laundrette close by.

Excellent place to stay! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Both place and location are absolutely safe. Character is average if you are looking for a more traditional building. Character is great if you are looking for a heartfelt place to stay.
