Located in between Higashi Honganji Temple and Nishi Honganji temple in a quiet surrounding, Hotel Wakamiya is a cozy Japanese-style inn with a homey atmosphere. It is about 7 minutes walk from the JR Kyoto Station. All of the guest rooms are Japanese-style with tatami mats. The public bath is on the 7th floor where you can command the view of the city. All rooms are ensuite and air-conditioned with a TV, safety box and a fridge. Room amenities include a toothbrush, shampoo, soap, razor and a yukata(light cotton kimono). Wakamiya is a sister hotel of Sanoya Hotel. Check-in: from 3PM Check-out: until 10AM Curfew: Midnight Major credit cards such as VISA, Mastercards, Amex, JCB are accepted. Dinner and Breakfast must be ordered at least 3 days in advance. Meals are Japanese dishes. Breakfast 1050yen It is about 7 minutes walk from the JR Kyoto Station Karasuma(central) exit. Go straight down the Horikawa dori and turn right at Nanajo dori. It is on your left after passing the Nishinotoin dori. It is located in between Higashi Honganji Temple and Nishi Honganji Temple.It is also about 3 minutes by taxi from the station.

I'd highly recommend this place to everyone who travels in Kyoto or even Osaka area. The staff were just fabulous, so friendly and gentle. The traditional style Japanese room is so cool.
