The city is a really small one and can be covered in 1 day but to get to really know its little gems then you do need at least three- the perfect place for offsetting to the caves or the longhouses and the area has tour operators readily available. Price wise for eating and drinking - very cheap ... Entertainment ie clubs not that great but there are the karaoke booth bars that make foran interesting night |

I expected more from the town, too many touristshops... The free Sarawak museum was nice, and to see the Urang Oetangs (?) just an hour outside of town was great! The waterfront was nice... |

Kuching is a relatively quiet but attractive city- nice for a break between metroplexes and river villages. Life cafe had a few good vegetarian options & cozee hostel was a clean, quiet, and private place to stay. |
