Staff were great, but aren't really around. The hostel was soo quiet as not really big and not many people there so if you want some " me " time this is the place to stay!!!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and the place really does feel like a home-away-from-home. I'm coming back one day for sure!

Wesley is 'THE MAN'- incredibly friendly staff with refreshingly unbiased information. All visitors to Kuching should stay here, it's extremely good value!

A decent choice. Feels like an exclusive hideout for travelers & it feels like home. Wesley & Teresa were very helpful to me during my stay. Kudos to them ! Would come back again the next time I'm in Kuching.

Nice place, very chilled, social and a great dvd selection, good value, although a very strange system, staff are almost never there and sometimes there no cereal or bread for breakfast as some people eat all the food all the time :) oh well, i'd recommend it to everyone anyway!!!

This was the most relaxing hostel we have stayed in. It is like a home from home. Wesley and Teresa couldn't have been more helpful. Also great to have Mel to pick us up and drop us off at the airport.

Wesley and Teresa (the owners) were extremely helpful in planning our activities in the Kuching area. The hostel is clean and very close to the city's major shopping and eating centers, and to travel agencies that can get you around the island. It was my favorite hostel in Malaysian Borneo.

Spacious and only 10 mins walk from the waterfront. Wesley was very friendly and helpful. Perhaps if you are looking to meet lots of people this is not for you, but if like us you're looking for a small friendly place then its great.

Great place to call home, had the place to ourselves a couple of nights. Wesley & Theresa are fantastic hosts giving you all the info on everything Borneo and truly care about giving you a good experience. Supermarket and good resturants are only round the corner.

I was a couple of days on my own here,so there was not much of interaction with other travellers.Off course this means it was very quite. The place is spotless, out of centre, and the people that run the place run by to help you to find your way.

Wesley was very helpful and dished out a lot of information upon arrival and after, tho that's probably the only time I saw him. Everything's walking distance so there's no need to take any form of transport..Kuching is tiny anyway. Recommended

There are only three rooms in the guesthouse, but it feels like living at home. Very comfortable and convenient! Recommend to all the backpackers!

Borneo Seahare was such a great place to chill. I was alone for most of the time so it felt like my own apartment. The owners took great care of me and made sure I had everything I needed. They also helped with great local tips. Loved staying here!

Very friendly, clean and well run Hostel. Good size common area, cheap internet along with a TV and huge pile of DVD's to watch. Local advice from owners on trips to Bako and the Orangutan centre was very helpful.

And that's not a coincidence, lots of previous guests rave about them too. Definitely worth a recommendation. If I have to mention something that could be better, it would be that the road in front of the hostel stays busy all night and therefore quite some streetnoise gets into the dorms. Very sociable fellow travellers as well. A tip to the owners I forgot to mention to them in person: for more business, make this place better-known by trying to have it mentioned in the various tourist information brochures and guide books.close

Nice hostel although we where the only people staying there. Wesley the owner is fantastic so very nice and always wants to help. Airport pick-up was great. No air-con so can get very hot. Over all a good stay.
