A MUST .... |

The capital of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, is known locally as KL. It is a cosmopolitian city with excellent shopping and restaurants, modern sky scrapers, moseques and colonial buildings that give an interesting blend |

Kuala Lumpur is a cool city to spend a few days. Good for shopping and decent nightlife (one street near the Petronas Towers has about 4 decent clubs), although the beer isn't as cheap as some other places in Asia. |

I enjoyed my short stay in KL
it is a modern city but it has not lost charm & it's fascinating Asian flavour |

Zouk club is amazing, as are the views from the observation tower (high tea is recommended!). If you are a shopper you will be in seventh heaven. Check out the bird park as well. |

I love the hookers in KL |

Fascinating mixture of high tech and old buildings, great views from the towers, delicious food and excellent shopping. |

Electronics & computer stuff almost cheapest in the world provided you don't buy from touristy shops.
Lost of food & shopping. |

On the map everything in kl looks far apart well its not most places are in walking distance of each other its just the humidity that might bother some people. |

we have always used kuala lumpur as a short stop over while on the way to other south east asia counrties but the best thing is that there is so much to do in the city that is cheap and easy to get to like batu caves, beautiful gardens with rope bridges, a wicked water park 30 minbus ride out of city (heaps of fun that one) and shopping shopping shopping and food food food. enjoy! |

I really only had a day to explore Kuala Lumpur but what I did see would encourage me to return. Amazing architecture and mixing of cultures, easy to navigate and everybody I came across seemed really friendly. |

Many people would brand Kuala Lumpur as a boring city, but not so for us. We had so much fun at such affordable prices. The bird park at the lake gardens is way better than that of singapore's (my homeland). I rate it first class. We were pleasantly surprised. Very educational and really experiential. The bird show is impressive. We got the cheapest horse ride ever at Titiwangsa Lake. Only RM 1.50 for one round, as compared to s$5 or S$10 in our country, and it's so much more exciting! For families with children, head down to Mid-valley shopping mall where there is a kids mega gym at the top floor. It's huge and happening! Only RM17 for one full day of fun. We dropped our pesky toddler there for half a day and it was really worth it. We enjoyed Mr Bean - the movie at only RM10. The KLCC Aquaria is worth a visit - 1st class destination. In fact, there are so many places to have fun that we can't get enough! Places we have visited for this trip: Petronas Tower sky bridge / zoo / butterfly park / lake gardens / bird park / mines wonderland / KLCC Aquaria / Mid-valley shopping mall / Petaling Street / Lake Titiwangsa / Eye on Malaysia / Batu Caves. |

KL is not the traveller's destination nor hangout. It is, however, a pretty easy hub if you are travelling around SE Asia- especially if you are using AirAsia.
It is calmer, smaller, and easier to deal with than Bangkok- without the tuk-tuk driver's bothering you, without the overwhelming amount of people and traffic, without the street vendors everywhere.
It is a little cooler too, which is nice. Yet, it lacks the shopping opps of Bangkok- the Thais love to shop, and lacks the entertainment/dining options there too.
Basically, I enjoy KL for the diversity in culture, which is rare in Asia. Malays, Chinese, and Indians- three very different Asian peoples- mixed with a bit of Arabs, Westerners, and other international peoples, make the place refreshingly multicultural and open. |

Good place to get caught up on shopping, Internet, laundry, get a good meal, and book a flight to Borneo. |

Great city, friendly people, lots to see and do... |
I recomend you to walk around Golden Triangle area at night. Fabulous view with lots of city lights of sky scrapers!! |

Great place to eat. Much more friendly than penang. Don't bother with Petronis towers - KL tower is MUCH more enjoyable. Watch out for "instant friends" who have no reason to like you and start acting like you've got a special bond from the word go - they are professional scammers. |

Nice enough place...not loads to see or do but lots of shopping!! go to petaling road!!! |

Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful, dynamic, multicultural city that has something for everyone and every budget. The Petronas Twin Towers are a must see--they're gorgeous! It's also a nice place to splurge and stay in a really fancy hotel, because they aren't that expensive but you get a lot for what you pay for. The people are sooo friendly and helpful here, too. You've gotta go! |

KL is a good place to fly to, spend few days in the city, and then head out to nearby cities or other parts of the country. Good place for keeping base camp if you want to make day-trips to cities around KL. |

Apart from the mosquitos feasting on my flesh, KL is a nice place to visit - especially for shopping! |
KL has lots to see and do, but like other big cities, smelly and polluted. Also, the curbs are very high! |
It was only a stopover, but I wish it was more...the City was great! |
There was lots to see and do. Brilliant shopping! |
There are lots of places to visit, but things get a little pricey on addmissions. The shopping is good, but it also gets a little pricey, unless you can find your way to the markets. |

KL is nothing special IMHO, but it is a good jumping off point for the rest of Malaysia/SE asia. Much cheaper than singapore, easy to use transit and plenty of English speakers. Good place to fly in/out and get your toes wet. |

Great hostel, would definitely recommend it to travellers. Clean, relaxed, near to Finnegans Irish pub and the excellent monorail which is so simple to use and a great fast way of getting around the city. Great staff here and are very helpful. |

very bad pollution but the hustle and bustle of the city has a lot of energy. People very freindly but found it hard to get around the city on public transport.
Not wnough signs in the city for places of interest and public transport. Ended up having to get taxi's everywhere which becmae costly |

A nice clean safe feeling city. Easy to navigate and get around. People are generally very friendly. |

KL has so much to offer, except the attractions are not obvious at first!!.
You have to make a bit of an effort to see the REAL CITY. The tourist attractions are great .KLCC , PETRONAS TOURS, MENARA TOUR, PETALING STREET MARKET ETC.
But one of the great things to do is just hop on a bus , or the monorail, get off at any stop u like and just explore. PEOPLE are VERY FRIENDLY most speak perfect English |

The weather was not as unbearable this time of the year. KL is a good place to buy nicely priced laptops. |
KL is a busy, bustling, congested and ok not a spotless city but it has a great atmosphere with plenty to keep you amused. There are markets, parks, amazing modern and beautiful old architecture- and don't forget to try the wide variety of cuisine available. |

Get ready to be ripped off when ya ain't Chinese, Malay or Indian. |

KL has a bit for everybody, but it is very hot and humid and not great if you prefer walking. Probably, I would prefer beaches and forests... |

KL is nothing more than a big city. Petronas towers are nice, marktets are okay but not much to do or to see. |
KL seems like a smaller and cheaper version of Singapore. It also has fantastic cheap street / foodcourt food, some of the best I have had around the world. |
KL, as most people call it, is a cool city with lots to see. Luckily a lot of the sights are within walking distance of each other. When they're not taxis are cheap and there's an underground and monorail service. |

The people are SO friendly. Everything is SO accessible & the hawkers food is amazing!! A must for any traveller. |

If you are a clubberholic, here are some tips you might want to know, what\'s happening in KL. Most clubs like Zouk, La Queen, Liquid Bar, Frangipani and many those along Jln P. Ramlee, played house, techno and trance music. Don\'t expect too much on RnB and Hip Hop coz you can only find it at Poppy Garden on Friday night beside Rum Jungle. For those who loves to dance n groove, you might want to check out Rumm behind a big Thai Club, beside La Queen off Jln P Ramlee. Not forgetting, for those who prefer great bands playing those rock n roll songs, lastest jamming, Rum Jungle, Aloha and many more down the road in Jln P Ramlee will satisfied your night with great perfoarmance and vocal. |

OK if not traveling on foot. |
