From outside, the hotel is very old and lot of spider web but when you enter to the room, is fine. But i really don't like the man in the cafeteria, he's really scared me. He looks very angry and i think that he also said some bad words when i sate at the wrong table. More over, the elevator...

If U like history and want to feel the atmosphere of the beginning of 20th century - this hotel is for U )) Room is very big, beatuful parks are very close ;-)

Basic hotel - expensive for what you got. While rooms were clean other areas were filthy like laundry etc. Not recommended.

It is musty. There is no exhaust fan. The tank in the rest room cracks. There is no shower curtain. It is inconvenient for the movement.

good quality I thought - for about 7 pounds a night each you get a clean(ish) double room, TV, air-con and my first soak in a bath in 2 months! Really easy to get to using train, and good location for everywhere

The water in my room was a strange colour, and for some reason a wardrobe had been placed in a corner of the room in which it did not fit!

We only stayed there because we needed to catch the NICE bus to Singapore and it is so convenient for that. It's a wonderful heritage building but it is badly in need of some cleaning and refurbishment as everywhere you looked it was dirty and run down. It's a wonderful heritage building but it is badly in need of some cleaning and refurbishment as everywhere you looked it was dirty and run down. It would make a magnificent place for travellers from Singapore to stay overnight when they arrive on the NICE bus service or for those arriving from Thailand on the Orient Express train ... BUT not the way it is as it's too dirty.close

Good if you only staying a night. Rooms good size but hotel is in need of re-vamp but the price was good. Building does have a lot of character which made up for it.
