Clean budget hotel. Good location in the heart of Chinatown. The reception was not very accommodating and made us put a $20 deposit but when we checked out, they didn't say a word about the deposit and just told us to drop our keys in the deposit box.

You get what you pay for, but you can hear any noise from the other rooms. you can even hear people going out from the elevator. We would not go there again because of the noisy rooms. But freindly staff and very clean hotel. Kristian staying august 8.

Lovely decor, excellent facilities & exceptionally clean. Walls are unfortunately thin enough to hear the conversation (and other noises!) in next room, but cannot hear the bustling street market outside. AC was too cold - would have been nice to be able to adjust. Overall, very good - wish I'd had the time to stay longer.close

When I checked out they told me my balance was 10 cents. I only inquired after reading so many people complain about the key deposits here. They pretended to look confused, and showed me that on the receipt, I was billed for a night in the "dormitory", as well as for my three nights in the hotel room (which were of course the only three nights I had stayed, as their receipt showed). She again pretended to look confused, but then "nicely" gave back my key deposit anyway. I didn't even know they had a dormitory, and can't possibly see how I could accidently be charged for it (coincidentally the same amount as the key deposit) when I was staying in a hotel room. The hotel clearly has a policy of attempting to steal key deposits. This is theft, if not fraud. The room was not bad for the price, but management are too dishonest for me to recommend this hotel to anyone. I certainly won't be back.close

Rooms small but overall atmosphere is good. Staff very helpful & friendly. Organised a hotel transfer to the airport and had an unsafe trip - taxi driver didnt seem to know how to drive. Airport approx 45 - 60min drive from KL city. Great location for shopping right above markets in china town.

watch out for the dorms theres a piano in reception area. you may get woken up by over enthuisiastic chinese teenagers practising chopsticks at midnight. Apart from that its a pretty good hostel put a curfew on the piano as the chinese tend to stay up pretty late.

The private rooms are fine. However, the dorms are just curtained off areas with no security whatsoever. They do provide small lockers for free in the lobby but nowhere safe to put your bags. Otherwise this is an excellent hostel/hotel.

The hotel was very good value for money. We really enjoyed being in the heart of china town market, and easy walking distance to the train. The only thing we didnt like was that the room had no windows, but understand that this is a feature of many chinese type hotels.
