There really are bed bugs! We need to visit doctor because we get so many bites. Staff was also quite rude when we reported about this

average, basic hostel, good staff, but I heard of lots of people in the dorms getting bed bugs, my bed was fine but still - yuk! wouldn't have stayed if I'd have known.

The staff were very helpful and offered plenty of advise about the city and how to get around. The facilities were quite basic but clean. Would definately recommend it.

Unfortnunatly we didn't actaully stay here - when we arrived we found out that they had booked us into their sister hostel Trekkers 300m away, which was upsetting as if we wanted to stay there we would have booked - they are both on HostelWorld... I was very impressed with the hostel and it's friendly and helpful staff. The room that we paid for was clean which is the most important aspect of any hostel. Good value for money and a comfortable stay at the self titled "no frills" budget hostel.

Great location, good atmosphere, great communal area with DVD's etc.. BUT...plenty of bed bugs, cockroaches etc...according to staff, you should book 4star accomodation if you dont want bugs! security left a lot to be desired, one girls camera and other peoples phones went missing, not just...

The hostel was exceptionally clean for the price and the free internet is a big draw, as is the free breakfast. The staff could do with cheering up a bit though!!

The Green Hut has a great location - close to shopping malls, the LRT (sky rail) and about 15mins walk to the Petronas Towers. The hostel itself is quite new and has many ammenities such as laundry service, pool table, DVD collection for use on their TV or your laptop (really great for the rainy... more The Green Hut has a great location - close to shopping malls, the LRT (sky rail) and about 15mins walk to the Petronas Towers. The hostel itself is quite new and has many ammenities such as laundry service, pool table, DVD collection for use on their TV or your laptop (really great for the rainy days). We booked a double room which had super powerful air-con,a comfy bed and a descent bathroom with hot water. Even toilet paper was supplied - a big bonus for us budget travellers. The only bad things about the room was that it was really small, the lock on the door wasn't brilliant - (no dead locks) and it was right next to the communal showers which were noisy in the mornings. The female staff were very helpful & pleasant and gave us a map of the area and highlited things on it for us to. The male staff were a little ...errr...shall we say, not service orientated. The free internet is an absolute godsend and the international calling card is great value. Overall our stay was pretty good; definitely one of the most well-equipped bacpacker's we've stayed in. Price seemed expensive, but was cheap compared to other hostels I think. Would definitely recommend.close

A lot of activities for guests on special occassions, but I think the hostel is quite big for the very lean staff when it is full house.

The staff here were extremely helpful. I was eaten alive by mosquitos and couldn't sleep so the girl on reception bathed the bites and put cream on for me and upgraded me to my own single room (at no extra cost) so that I could sleep a bit better. So thoughtful! Airconditioning units are shared between 2 dorms so if you're in a dorm on the wrong end (without the controls), you've got no choice other than to freeze or bake. International telephone, free internet, tv and a book swap - all very convenient. I would recommend Green Hut Lodge although if you're prone to being bitten by insects it's best to stay away from Malaysia altogether :O)close

One of the better guest houses I've stayed in. Very well run and well located. The wc and showere are clean. May be a little expensive compared to others i've stayed in before.

Great location. Stayed in double room with ensuite - quite small, without a window, and a little noisy as it was off the common area. Breakie just toast and jam. Secure.

the breakfast food should alow a better choice, we had some ticks (bugs) in our bed and our room was right next to the showers and terrace where we could hear everything.

Cute little place in a really good location close to shops, sights such as towers and near restaurants. Needs more air conditioning in main rooms as very hot. Private rooms very sparce just a bed. Not a bad place to stay.
