Good and nice hostel, although the beds are not very good and comfortable. And the owner, Suzy, is not very reliable, she gave away our room altough we made an reservation!

One of the toilets needed fixing but apart from that everything was OK.The hostess was really helpful. Wonderful people!! It's a quiet place and they like to keep it that way. So if your idea is to have fun and noise at night, this may not be the place for you.

I loved staying here. Great courtyard out the front to relax in and meet others, lovely host to give you all the help you need in planning your onward trip, on the doorstep of a street full of fab food stalls and great location for seeing KL.

The staff really make the stay here great! They are so helpful. The hostel is basic but has a great feel and is clean. Easy to get to anywhere from here as it is near the monorail station. Good for female travelers on their own, I felt really safe.

Don't let the surrounding building and dark alleys scare you off. This is a little bit of paradise amongst those communist ghettos and stray animals. The staff and other guests make this a real gem in the central part of KL

The owner and operator, Suzy, loves a good chat about local and world topics. She is also a great source of information, both local and distant, and if she doesn't know the answer, she will go out of her way to find one! It's located in the Golden Triangle, so it's close to everywhere in KL, with a monorail station but 5 minutes away. Jalan Alor, with it's bustling food stalls and great energy, is only one street away, and the Petronas Towers and the KL Communication tower is only a few minutes walk further. This isn't a party hostel, as it's size lends itself to a more relaxed atmosphere, which is what I am after. The building itself is located on a quiet street, and security is great. I've recommended the place to other travellers and will continue in the future.close

Suzy, the manager, is wonderful and knows everything about Malaysia, so let her help you plan your trip. This was the first hostel in 2 months' of travelling that really felt like a community and home-from-home. Only down-side is that the rooms and bathrooms are a bit grotty, but you're not in them much. Single travellers - I recommend the air-con dorm over the single rooms, which have no windows or air-con and get very hot.close

I love the place but think that the single room is just a bit too expensive as it has no air-con. Just moved to Penang and got similar room with the Air con for less than half of Your price. The rest is wonderful. For sure will stay there next time I'm in KL. Thanks for everything. Cheers.

The night of my arrival I had some sort of allergic reaction and my body was covered with red spots. I dont know if it was bed bugs or a reaction to something I eat. A member of staff I told said he would bring some cream for me, i waited. After waiting a while i went downstairs to look for him, only to find him lying there watching TV! The owner Suzy was a lot more helpful, thanks!!. I saw the staff swapping sheets from bed to bed as i moved rooms- not sure if that had anything to do with it. But when I left the hostel my reaction cleared up. After I left the hostel I realised I had left my camera box under the bed i was sleeping on. I called and the staff told me they had saved it for me. I arrived back at the hostel in a couple of hours to find my camera box to be torn and my Olympus 1 year international warranty cards were missing and so was my olymus CD. I had just bought the camera a few weeks ago. The staff told me that he had thrown the warranty cards and cd away as he thought that it was rubbish!! I was really sad to hear than and thats why I have scored the staff low.close

Spent two nights here and had a great night's sleep. The location was great; we were able to walk to most of the major sites in KL. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot showers, clean sheets, nice lounge area and free breakfast. For the price we couldn't have done better.

Basic hostel accommodation, but prices for better hotels in Kuala Lumpur are high, so you get what you pay for. It's in a great central location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is 24 hour access (no curfew) and there's free tea, coffee and water at all times of day and night....

Quaint little place near a lot of shopping malls, yet sits in a quiet KL neighborhood. Extremely easy to get to. Owner is working very hard to create a clean, comfortable, and chilled-out environment. Would definitely stay here again on my next KL suaray.

Place has a nice feeling of homestay and is pleasant and quiet. Very close to all the things to see and visit too. One setback: in Chinatown a similar room could be much cheaper.

Suzy and her partner could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The guest house itself is an old building full of little touches of character - including the various paintings by her partner that are hung about the establishment (which are marvelous). It's quiet, in a very good way, and full of friendly fellow travelers and friendly staff whose advice was indispensible. I have stayed in other accommodations in KL, ranging from the Mandarin Oriental to the Green Hut Guest House, and while I enjoyed all of them, if I return again I would certainly book accommodations at the Traveler's Palm thanks to the charm and character of the owners and the establishment.close
