The water heater was cranky and the pressure couldn't be adjusted. The staff were pretty helpful though.close

It was a nice and short stay.. Too bad we only had one day to spare. But overall the place is really nice. My only small conern was that there was a small problem in our billing, we was over charged for 180RM instead of 108 but we easily solved this. We would definitely come back here again...

Breakfast could have been better, more than just toast and a piece of fruit. Good location too, only a five minute walk to shops and malls. All in all, good value for money. Will stay there again.close

Perhaps the best hostel I have ever stayed it! Especially for the great price. A beautiful place, with lots of rooms in a peaceful residential area. I was especially impressed with the security in the dorms, each bunk has a locker by the headboard, which is very secure.

good sized clean rooms were the highlight of this hostel. Their use of solar power to warm the water meant that the showers were only just slightly above cold.

The location was not good. Opposite a 24/7 restaurant with large screen showing European football all through the night. It was also on a very busy one way road. If you were in a room at the front as we were, you guaranteed no sleep.

lovely place in a great position but rooms with bathroom a bit small and simple for the price- it is not a 'cheap' place to stay.

Also, what's up with the no free blankets? The bathrooms and rooms are not spotless but clean. The staff is really laid back and cool; very helpful and knowledgable too. The lounge area is nice with a TV but it isn't that great for meeting people since most people seem to be doing their own thing. It's not really a short walk if you have heavy luggage but you can walk to the main bus station and metro station.close

Great hostel. Excellent location: nice and quiet but on walkin' distance of a good shopping street and Chinatown. Many nice restaurants just around the corner. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and travellers. Next time I'll visit KL, I'll be staying in Nr. Eight again.

The staff could do with brushing up on their local knowledge a little (couldn't direct us to any good places to eat / drink nearby) but were otherwise helpful. A few more 'regular hostel' touches (such as maps with sites of interest marked, etc) and Number 8 will be one of the finest hostels in the world.close
