Lovely restaurant on the main square, has a very homely feel inside. Quite Victorian style inside and well maintained. Food was absolutely delicious. They serve meals until 11 which is great and the staff were very friendly. |

Take away coffee shops in Krakow are at a minimum. The only place we found in Krakow that do real Latte, Americano etc was this one Elwa. If is on the side street from the main square heading down to the castle on the left. We didn't find this until the last day and wish we'd found it sooner |

This is a lovely restaurant set inside a gallery off the ulica Szpitalna. Good Italian food and attentive service although because the place is in the cellars and full of alcoves it is something hard to catch the server's attention. A minor quibble. |

Pricey is a relative concept. The prices here are on a par with Western ones, which means that the average Pole just cannot afford to come to a restaurant like this. The French owner/chef is very competent and produces very tasty food that, while still quite heavy in deference to Polish tastes, is lighter than standard Polish food. The decor is somber and quite dark, being again in a cellar. Worth coming to for a special occasion, perhaps. |

The main entrance to this restaurant is in a little side street off the Ulica Florianska but you can also enter through the Hotel Pod Roza, of which it is part. The food is Italian and extremely well done and the restaurant itself is comfortable, light and airy. Highly recommended. |

Jewish restaurants in the Kazimierz district are making a comeback and this is considered one of the best ones, with great food and an interesting pre-war decor and atmosphere. On most evenings there is live music - usually Klezmer, gypsy or folk. The food is tasty and a bit on the heavy side, as is a lot of Polish cooking but it's lovely for all that. I'm not sure the food is totally kosher, but it is advertised as traditional Jewish. Dishes such as gefilte fish and fried goose liver are classics. |

Nice fine-dining. Good choice of upmarket local dishes. |
